Psalm 105:1-11

Jehovah’s wonderful works in behalf of Israel.

105 Oh give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name;
Make known among the peoples his doings.
Sing unto him, sing praises unto him;
[a]Talk ye of all his marvellous works.
Glory ye in his holy name:
Let the heart of them rejoice that seek Jehovah.
Seek ye Jehovah and his strength;
Seek his face evermore.
Remember his marvellous works that he hath done,
His wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
O ye seed of Abraham his servant,
Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
He is Jehovah our God:
His judgments are in all the earth.
He hath remembered his covenant for ever,
The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
The covenant which he made with Abraham,
And his oath unto Isaac,
10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute,
To Israel for an everlasting covenant,
11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan,
The [b]lot of your inheritance;

Psalm 105:37-45

37 And he brought them forth with silver and gold;
And there was [a]not one feeble person among his tribes.
38 Egypt was glad when they departed;
For the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39 He spread a cloud for a covering,
And fire to give light in the night.
40 They asked, and he brought quails,
And satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 He opened the rock, and waters gushed out;
They ran in the dry places like a river.
42 For he remembered his holy word,
And Abraham his servant.
43 And he brought forth his people with joy,
And his chosen with singing.
44 And he gave them the lands of the nations;
And they took the labor of the peoples in possession:
45 That they might keep his statutes,
And observe his laws.
[b]Praise ye Jehovah.

Jeremiah 30:12-22

12 For thus saith Jehovah, Thy hurt is incurable, and thy wound grievous. 13 There is none to plead [a]thy cause, [b]that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not: for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the [c]greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased. 15 Why criest thou [d]for thy hurt? thy pain is incurable: for the [e]greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee. 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that despoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. 17 For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith Jehovah; because they have called thee an outcast, saying, It is Zion, whom no man [f]seeketh after.

18 Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will [g]turn again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have compassion on his dwelling-places; and the city shall be builded upon its own [h]hill, and the palace shall [i]be inhabited after its own manner. 19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. 20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish all that oppress them. 21 And their prince shall be of themselves, and their ruler shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is he that [j]hath had boldness to approach unto me? saith Jehovah. 22 And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

John 12:36-43

36 While ye have the light, believe on the light, that ye may become sons of light.

These things spake Jesus, and he departed and [a]hid himself from them. 37 But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they believed not on him: 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake,

[b]Lord, who hath believed our report?
And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?

39 For this cause they could not believe, for that Isaiah said again,

40 [c]He hath blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart;
Lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart,
And should turn,
And I should heal them.

41 These things said Isaiah, because he saw his glory; and he spake of him. 42 Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess [d]it, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: 43 for they loved the glory that is of men more than the glory that is of God.
