Version
Deuteronomy 11:18-21

18 (A)You shall therefore place these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as [a]phylacteries between your eyes. 19 (B)And you shall teach them to your sons, speaking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. 20 (C)And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, 21 so that (D)your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give them, as [b](E)long as the heavens remain above the earth.

Deuteronomy 11:26-28

A Blessing and a Curse

26 (A)See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse: 27 the (B)blessing, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I am commanding you today; 28 and the (C)curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, by walking after other gods which you have not known.

Psalm 31:1-5

Into Your Hand I Commit My Spirit

For the choir director. A Psalm of David.

31 (A)In You, O Yahweh, I have taken refuge;
Let me never (B)be ashamed;
(C)In Your righteousness protect me.
(D)Incline Your ear to me, deliver me quickly;
Be to me a (E)rock of [a]strength,
A fortress to save me.
For You are my [b](F)high rock and my fortress;
For (G)Your name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.
You will (H)bring me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,
For You are my (I)strength.
(J)Into Your hand I commit my spirit;
You have (K)ransomed me, O Yahweh, (L)God of truth.

Psalm 31:19-24

19 How great is Your (A)goodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have worked for those who (B)take refuge in You,
(C)Before the sons of men!
20 You hide them in the (D)secret place of Your presence from the (E)conspiracies of man;
You keep them secretly in a [a]shelter from the (F)strife of tongues.
21 (G)Blessed be Yahweh,
For He has made (H)marvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged (I)city.
22 As for me, (J)I said in my alarm,
“I am (K)cut off from before Your eyes”;
Nevertheless, You (L)heard the voice of my supplications
When I cried to You for help.

23 Oh, love Yahweh, all you (M)His holy ones!
Yahweh (N)guards the faithful
But (O)repays fully the one who acts in lofty pride.
24 (P)Be strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who wait for Yahweh.

Romans 1:16-17

16 For I am not (A)ashamed of the gospel, for (B)it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the (C)Jew first and also to (D)the Greek. 17 For in it (E)the righteousness of God is revealed [a]from faith to faith; as it is written, “[b](F)But the righteous will live by faith.”

Romans 3:22-28

22 even the (A)righteousness of God through (B)faith (C)in Jesus Christ for (D)all those [a]who believe; for (E)there is no distinction; 23 for all [b](F)have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift (G)by His grace through (H)the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; 25 whom God displayed publicly as (I)a [c]propitiation [d](J)in His blood through faith, for a demonstration of His righteousness, [e]because in the (K)forbearance of God He (L)passed over the sins previously committed; 26 for the demonstration of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who [f]has faith in Jesus.

27 Where then is (M)boasting? It is excluded. By (N)what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. 28 [g]For (O)we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works [h]of the Law.

Romans 3:29-31

29 Or (A)is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30 since indeed (B)God, (C)who will justify the [a]circumcised [b]by faith and the [c]uncircumcised through that faith, (D)is one.

31 Do we then abolish [d]the Law through faith? (E)May it never be! On the contrary, we (F)establish the Law.

Matthew 7:21-29

21 (A)Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 (B)Many will say to Me on (C)that day, ‘Lord, Lord, in Your name did we not prophesy, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many [a]miracles?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; (D)depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

Build Your House on the Rock

24 “Therefore (E)everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, [b]may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and fell against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone hearing these words of Mine and not doing them, may be compared to a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.”

28 [c](F)Now it happened that when Jesus had finished these words, (G)the crowds were astonished at His teaching; 29 for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.
