羅馬書 12:17-21

17 不要對任何人以惡報惡；要敬重所有的人看為美善的事； 18 如果有可能，盡量在你們的事上與所有的人和睦。 19 各位蒙愛的人哪，不要自己報復，寧可給神的震怒留地步，因為經上記著：「主說：報應在我，我將回報。」[a] 20 不但如此，

「如果你的敵人[b]餓了，就給他吃；
如果他渴了，就給他喝；
因為你這樣做，就是把炭火堆在他的頭上。」[c]

21 不要被惡所勝，反要以善勝惡。

羅馬書 13:8-10

愛鄰如己

8 你們對任何人都不要虧欠什麼；唯有在彼此相愛的事上，要常以為虧欠。實際上，愛別人的，就成全了律法。 9 這是因為，那「不可通姦，不可殺人，不可偷竊，[a]不可貪心」[b]的誡命，或是別的什麼誡命，都包含在「要愛鄰如己」[c]這一句話裡了。

10 愛是對鄰人不做惡事，因此愛是成全律法的。
