8 羔羊打开第七个封印时，天堂里的寂静达半小时之久。 2 我看见站立在上帝面前的七位天使，每人都被授予了一只号角。
3 然后，另外一个天使过来，手捧金香炉，站在祭坛边。他接受了许多香，并与所有上帝子民的祈祷一起献在宝座前的金坛上。 4 缭绕的香烟和圣徒的祷告一起从天使的手中升起，飘到了上帝面前。 5 接着，那位天使手捧香炉，用它盛满祭坛上的火，然后扔向大地。随之，发生了雷鸣、轰响、闪电和地震。
