Version
Psalm 119:65-72

Teth

65 You have dealt well with your servant,
O Yahweh, according to your word.
66 Teach me good discernment and knowledge,
for I believe your commands.
67 Before I was afflicted, I was going astray,
but now I heed your word.
68 You are good and do good;
teach me your statutes.
69 The arrogant smear me with lies;[a]
I keep your precepts with my whole heart.
70 Their heart is insensitive like fat;[b]
As for me, I take delight in your law.
71 It is good for me that I was afflicted,
so that I might learn your statutes.
72 The law of your mouth is better to me
than thousands of gold and silver coins.

Leviticus 4:27-31

27 “‘If[a] anyone[b] of the people of the land sins by an unintentional wrong by violating[c] one of Yahweh’s commands that should not be violated,[d] so that[e] he incurs guilt, 28 or his sin he has committed[f] is made known to him, he shall bring[g] as his offering a female goat without defect[h] as his offering for his sin that he committed.[i] 29 He shall place[j] his hand on the sin offering’s head and slaughter the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. 30 The priest[k] shall take some of[l] its blood with his finger, and he shall put it on the horns of the altar of the burnt offering, and he must pour out all the rest of[m] its blood on the altar’s base. 31 He[n] must remove all of its fat just as[o] the fat was removed from[p] the fellowship offerings’ sacrifice, and the priest shall turn it into smoke on the altar as an appeasing fragrance for Yahweh. The priest[q] shall make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven.[r]

Leviticus 5:14-16

Laws for Guilt Offerings

14 Then[a] Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 15 “When a person[b] displays infidelity[c] and he sins in an unintentional wrong in any of[d] Yahweh’s holy things, then[e] he shall bring his guilt offering to[f] Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock[g] as a guilt offering by your valuation in silver shekels[h] according to the sanctuary shekel. 16 And he shall make restitution for what he sinned because of[i] a holy thing and shall add one-fifth of its value[j] onto it and shall give it to the priest. The priest[k] shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering, and he will be forgiven.

1 Peter 2:11-17

11 Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and temporary residents to abstain from fleshly desires which wage war against your[a] soul, 12 maintaining your good conduct among the Gentiles, so that in the things in which they slander you as evildoers, by seeing your good deeds they may glorify God on the day of visitation.

Submission to Established Authority

13 Subject yourselves to every human authority for the sake of the Lord, whether to a king[b] as having supreme authority, 14 or to governors as those sent out by him for the punishment of those who do evil and the praise of those who do good. 15 For the will of God is as follows: by[c] doing good to silence the ignorance of foolish people. 16 Live as free persons, and not using your[d] freedom as a covering for evil, but as slaves of God. 17 Honor all people, love the community of believers, fear God, honor the king.[e]
