14 The Lord upholds all who fall,
And (A)raises up all who are bowed down.
15 (B)The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
And (C)You give them their food in due season.
16 You open Your hand
(D)And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works.
18 (E)The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him (F)in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.
20 (G)The Lord preserves all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord,
And all flesh shall bless His holy name

44 “Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant,
And Israel whom I have chosen.
2 Thus says the Lord who made you
And formed you from the womb, who will help you:
‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant;
And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring;
4 They will spring up among the grass
Like willows by the watercourses.’
5 One will say, ‘I am the Lord’s’;
Another will call himself by the name of Jacob;
Another will write with his hand, ‘The Lord’s,’
And name himself by the name of Israel.

7 (B)“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For (C)everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 (D)Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, (E)being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
