Psalm 89:1-4

Sing of the Lovingkindness of Yahweh Forever

A [a]Maskil of [b]Ethan [c]the Ezrahite.

89 I will (A)sing of the lovingkindnesses of Yahweh forever;
From generation to generation I will (B)make known Your (C)faithfulness with my mouth.
For I have said, “(D)Lovingkindness will be built up forever;
In the heavens You will establish Your (E)faithfulness.”
“I have cut a covenant with (F)My chosen;
I have (G)sworn to David My [d]servant,
I will establish your (H)seed forever
And build up your (I)throne from generation to generation.” [e]Selah.

Psalm 89:15-18

15 How blessed are the people who know the (A)loud shout of joy!
O Yahweh, they walk in the (B)light of Your face.
16 In (C)Your name they rejoice all the day,
And by Your righteousness they are exalted.
17 For You are the beauty of (D)their strength,
And by Your favor [a]our (E)horn is exalted.
18 For our (F)shield belongs to Yahweh,
[b]And our king to the (G)Holy One of Israel.

Jeremiah 25:8-14

“Therefore thus says Yahweh of hosts, ‘Because you have not listened to My words, behold, I will (A)send and take all the families of the north,’ declares Yahweh, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, (B)My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will [a]devote them to destruction and (C)make them an object of horror and of hissing and an everlasting waste place. 10 Moreover, I will [b](D)make the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the (E)sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp, to perish from them. 11 (F)This whole land will be a waste place and an object of horror, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon (G)seventy years.

Punishment Against Babylon

12 ‘Then it will be (H)when seventy years are fulfilled, that I will (I)punish the king of Babylon and that nation,’ declares Yahweh, ‘for their iniquity, even the land of the Chaldeans; and (J)I will make it an everlasting desolation. 13 I will bring upon that land all My words which I have spoken against it, all that is written in (K)this book which Jeremiah has prophesied against (L)all the nations. 14 [c]For (M)many nations and great kings will make slaves of them, even them; and I will (N)repay them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands—’”

Galatians 5:7-12

You were (A)running well; who hindered you from [a]obeying the truth? This persuasion is not from (B)Him who calls you. (C)A little leaven leavens the whole lump. 10 (D)I have confidence [b]in you in the Lord that you (E)will adopt no other view. But the one who is (F)disturbing you will bear his judgment, whoever he is. 11 But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still (G)persecuted? Then (H)the stumbling block of the cross would have been abolished. 12 I wish that (I)those who are upsetting you would even [c](J)mutilate themselves.
