Revised Common Lectionary (Complementary)
Holy Is Yahweh Our God
99 (A)Yahweh reigns, let the peoples tremble;
He (B)sits enthroned above the cherubim, let the earth quake!
2 Yahweh is (C)great in Zion,
And He is (D)exalted above all the peoples.
3 Let them praise Your (E)great and awesome name;
(F)Holy is [a]He.
4 [b]The strength of the King (G)loves [c]justice;
You have established [d](H)equity;
You have (I)done [e]justice and righteousness in Jacob.
5 (J)Exalt Yahweh our God
And (K)worship at the footstool of His feet;
(L)Holy is He.
6 (M)Moses and Aaron were among His (N)priests,
And (O)Samuel was among those who (P)called on His name;
They (Q)would call upon Yahweh and He would answer them.
7 He (R)would speak to them in the pillar of cloud;
They (S)kept His testimonies
And the statute that He gave them.
8 O Yahweh our God, You (T)answered them;
You were a (U)forgiving God to them,
And yet an (V)avenger of their evil deeds.
9 Exalt Yahweh our God
And worship at His holy mountain,
For holy is Yahweh our God.
Solomon Blesses Yahweh
54 (A)Now it happened that when Solomon had [a]finished praying this entire prayer and supplication to Yahweh, (B)he arose from before the altar of Yahweh, from kneeling on his knees with his [b]hands spread toward heaven. 55 And he stood and (C)blessed all the assembly of Israel with a loud voice, saying:
56 “Blessed be Yahweh, who has given rest to His people Israel, (D)according to all that He [c]promised; (E)not one promise has [d]failed of all His good [e]promises, which He [f]promised by the hand of Moses His [g]servant. 57 May Yahweh our God be with us, as He was with our fathers; (F)may He not forsake us or abandon us, 58 that (G)He may incline our hearts to Himself, to walk in all His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, which He commanded our fathers. 59 And may these words of mine, with which I have made supplication before Yahweh, be near to Yahweh our God day and night, that He may do justice for His slave and justice for His people Israel, [h]as each day requires, 60 so (H)that all the peoples of the earth may know that (I)Yahweh is God; there is no one else. 61 (J)Let your heart therefore be [i]wholly devoted to Yahweh our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.”
The Offering for the House of Yahweh
62 (K)Now the king and all Israel with him were (L)offering sacrifices before Yahweh. 63 And Solomon offered for the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to Yahweh, 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. (M)So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of Yahweh. 64 On the same day the king set apart as holy the middle of the court that was before the house of Yahweh, because there he [j]offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings; for (N)the bronze altar that was before Yahweh was too small to hold the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings.
65 So (O)Solomon celebrated the feast at that time, and all Israel with him, a great assembly (P)from [k]Lebo-hamath (Q)to the brook of Egypt, before Yahweh our God, for seven days and seven more days, even fourteen days.
31 “(A)He who comes from above is above all, (B)he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. (C)He who comes from heaven is above all. 32 What He has seen and heard, of that He (D)bears witness; and (E)no one receives His witness. 33 He who has received His witness (F)has set his seal to this, that God is true. 34 For He whom God has (G)sent speaks the words of God; [a](H)for He gives the Spirit without measure. 35 (I)The Father loves the Son and (J)has given all things into His hand. 36 He who (K)believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who (L)does not [b]obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
