A Psalm of thanksgiving.

100 Shout aloud unto Jehovah, all the earth!

² Serve Jehovah with joy: come before his presence with exultation.

³ Know that Jehovah is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

⁴ Enter into his gates with thanksgiving [and] into his courts with praise; give thanks unto him, bless his name:

⁵ For Jehovah is good; his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever; and his faithfulness from generation to generation.

¹⁷ And as for you, my flock, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I judge between sheep and sheep, between the rams and the he-goats.

¹⁸ Is it too small a thing unto you to have eaten up the good pastures, but ye must tread down with your feet the rest of your pastures; and to have drunk of the settled waters, but ye must foul the rest with your feet?

¹⁹ And my sheep have to eat that which ye have trodden with your feet, and to drink that which ye have fouled with your feet.

²⁰ Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto them: Behold, [it is] I, and I will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep.

²¹ Because ye thrust with side and with shoulder, and push all the weak ones with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad,

²² —I will save my flock, that they may no more be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.

²³ And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David: he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

5 The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:

² shepherd the flock of God which [is] among you, exercising oversight, not by necessity, but willingly; not for base gain, but readily;

³ not as lording it over your possessions, but being models for the flock.

⁴ And when the chief shepherd is manifested ye shall receive the unfading crown of glory.

⁵ Likewise [ye] younger, be subject to [the] elder, and all of you bind on humility towards one another; for God sets himself against [the] proud, but to [the] humble gives grace.
