Revised Geneva Translation (RGT)
Version
Psalm 116:1-4

116 I love the LORD, because He has heard my voice and my prayers.

For He has inclined His ear to me, when I called in my days.

The snares of death surrounded me and the griefs of the grave caught me. I found trouble and sorrow.

Then I called upon the Name of the LORD, “I implore You, O LORD, deliver my soul!”

Psalm 116:12-19

12 What shall I render to the LORD for all His benefits toward me?

13 I will take the Cup of Salvation and call upon the Name of the LORD.

14 I will pay my vows to the LORD even now, in the presence of all His people.

15 Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.

16 Behold, LORD, for I am Your servant. I am Your servant, the son of Your handmaid. You have broken my bonds.

17 I will offer a sacrifice of praise to You and will call upon the Name of the LORD.

18 I will pay my vows to the LORD even now, in the presence of all His people,

19 In the courts of the LORD’s house, even in the midst of You, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!

Isaiah 25:1-5

25 O LORD, You are my God! I will exalt You. I will praise Your Name. For You have done wonderful things, ancient counsel, with firm faithfulness!

For You have made a heap of a city, a ruin of a strong city, a fortress of strangers to be no city. It shall never be built.

Therefore, the mighty people shall give glory to You. The city of the strong nations shall fear You.

For You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his trouble, a refuge from the storm, a shade in the heat. For the blast of the mighty is like a hard rain against the wall.

You shall bring down the noise of the strangers, as the heat in a dry place. He will bring down the song of the mighty, as the heat with the shade of a cloud.

1 Peter 1:8-12

Whom you have not seen and yet love; in Whom now, though you do not see Him, you still believe and rejoice with unspeakable and glorious joy,

receiving the purpose of your faith: the salvation of your souls).

10 Of such salvation the Prophets have inquired and searched, prophesying of the grace that would come to you,

11 searching when or at what time the Spirit of Christ (Who testified before) was in them, declaring the sufferings that would come to Christ and the glory that would follow.

12 To them it was revealed—not to themselves, but to us— that they should minister the things which are shown to you by those who have preached the Gospel by the Holy Ghost, sent down from Heaven. These things the angels desire to behold.
