Version
Psalm 31:9-16

Be gracious to me, O Yahweh, for (A)I am in distress;
My (B)eye is wasted away from grief, (C)my soul and [a]my body also.
10 For my life is worn down with (D)sorrow
And my years with sighing;
My (E)strength fails because of my iniquity,
And (F)my bones waste away.
11 Among all my adversaries, I have become a (G)reproach,
Especially to my (H)neighbors,
And an object of dread to my acquaintances;
Those who see me in the street flee from me.
12 I am (I)forgotten like a dead man—out of [b]mind—
I am like a broken vessel.
13 For I have heard [c](J)the bad report of many,
(K)Terror is on every side;
While they (L)took counsel together against me,
They (M)schemed to take my life.

14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Yahweh,
I say, “(N)You are my God.”
15 My (O)times are in Your hand;
(P)Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who pursue me.
16 Make Your (Q)face to shine upon Your slave;
(R)Save me in Your lovingkindness.

Lamentations 3:55-66

Qoph

55 I (A)called on Your name, O Yahweh,
Out of the lowest pit.
56 You have (B)heard my voice,
(C)Do not hide Your ear from my prayer for relief,
From my cry for help.”
57 You (D)drew near when I called on You;
You said, “(E)Do not fear!”

Resh

58 O Lord, You (F)have pleaded my soul’s cause;
You have (G)redeemed my life.
59 O Yahweh, You have (H)seen my oppression;
(I)Judge my case.
60 You have seen all their vengeance,
All their (J)purposes against me.

Sin / Shin

61 You have heard their (K)reproach, O Yahweh,
All their purposes against me.
62 The (L)lips of those who rise against me and their whispering
Are against me all day long.
63 Look on their (M)sitting and their rising;
(N)I am their mocking song.

Tav

64 You will (O)recompense them, O Yahweh,
According to the work of their hands.
65 You will give them [a](P)dullness of heart;
Your curse will be on them.
66 You will (Q)pursue them in anger and destroy them
From under the (R)heavens of Yahweh!

Mark 10:32-34

Jesus Again Foretells His Death and Resurrection

32 (A)And they were on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking on ahead of them; and they (B)were amazed, and those who followed were fearful. And again He took the twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him: 33 “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and (C)the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles. 34 And they will mock Him and (D)spit on Him, and flog Him and kill Him, and three days later He will rise again.”
