Jesus Again Foretells His Death and Resurrection

^32 (A)And they were on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking on ahead of them; and they ^(B)were amazed, and those who followed were fearful. And again He took the twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him: ³³ “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and ^(C)the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will deliver Him over to the Gentiles. ³⁴ And they will mock Him and ^(D)spit on Him, and flog Him and kill Him, and three days later He will rise again.”

Jesus Again Foretells His Death and Resurrection

^17 (A)And as Jesus was about to go up to Jerusalem, He took the twelve disciples aside by themselves, and on the way He said to them, ¹⁸ “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of Man ^(B)will be betrayed to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn Him to death, ¹⁹ and ^(C)will deliver Him over to the Gentiles to mock and flog and crucify Him, and on ^(D)the third day He will be raised up.”

^31 (A)But when He took the twelve aside, He said to them, “Behold, ^(B)we are going up to Jerusalem, and ^(C)all things which are written through the prophets about the Son of Man will be ^[a]completed. ^32 (D)For He will be ^[b]delivered over to the Gentiles, and will be mocked and mistreated and spit upon, ³³ and after they have flogged Him, they will kill Him, and the third day He will rise again.”
