Psalm 128

Blessed Is Everyone Who Fears Yahweh

A Song of Ascents.

128 (A)How blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh,
Who (B)walks in His ways.
When you shall (C)eat of the [a](D)fruit of the labor of your hands,
How blessed will you be and (E)how well will it be for you.
Your wife shall be like a (F)fruitful vine
In the innermost parts of your house,
Your children like (G)olive plants
All around your table.
Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed
Who fears Yahweh.

(H)May Yahweh bless you (I)from Zion,
That you may see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
Indeed, may you see your (J)children’s children.
(K)Peace be upon Israel!

Ezekiel 36:22-32

They Will Know That I Am Yahweh

22 “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘Thus says Lord Yahweh, “It is (A)not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations, to which you have come. 23 I will (B)prove the holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the (C)nations will know that I am Yahweh,” declares Lord Yahweh, “when I prove Myself holy among you in their sight. 24 And I will (D)take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land. 25 Then I will [a](E)sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your (F)uncleanness and from all your (G)idols. 26 Moreover, I will give you a (H)new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the (I)heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will (J)put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to do My judgments. 28 And you will inhabit the land that I gave to your fathers; so you will be (K)My people, and I will be your God. 29 Moreover, I will save you from all your uncleanness; and I will call for the grain and multiply it, and I (L)will not [b]bring a famine on you. 30 I will (M)multiply the fruit of the tree and the produce of the field so that you will not receive again the reproach of famine among the nations. 31 Then you will (N)remember your evil ways and your deeds that were not good, and you will loathe yourselves to your own faces for your iniquities and your abominations. 32 I am not doing this (O)for your sake,” declares Lord Yahweh, “let it be known to you. Be ashamed and feel dishonor for your ways, O house of Israel!”

John 7:53-8:11

53 [a][Everyone went to his home.

An Adulteress Forgiven

But Jesus went to (A)the Mount of Olives. Early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and (B)He sat down and began to teach them. The scribes and the Pharisees *brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center of the court, they *said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act. Now in the Law (C)Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?” They were saying this, (D)testing Him, (E)so that they might have evidence to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground. But when they persisted in asking Him, (F)He straightened up and said to them, (G)Let him who is without sin among you be the (H)first to throw a stone at her.” Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court. 10 (I)Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” 11 She said, “No one, [b]Lord.” And Jesus said, (J)I do not condemn you, either. Go, and from now on (K)sin no more.”]
