The Pharisees and Sadducees Test Jesus

16 ^(A)And the ^(B)Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing Him, they ^(C)asked Him to show them ^[a]a sign from heaven.

³ And some Pharisees came to ^[a]Jesus, testing Him and saying, “^(A)Is it lawful for a man to ^[b]divorce his wife for any reason at all?”

¹⁸ But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, “Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites?

³⁵ And one of them, ^(A)a scholar of the Law, asked Him a question, testing Him,

^11 (A)And the Pharisees came out and began to argue with Him, ^(B)seeking from Him ^[a]a sign from heaven, testing Him.

² And some Pharisees came up to Jesus, testing Him, and began to question Him whether it was lawful for a man to ^[a]divorce a wife.

¹⁵ Shall we pay or shall we not pay?” But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a ^[a]denarius to look at.”

The Good Samaritan

^25 (A)And behold, a ^(B)scholar of the Law stood up and was putting Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

¹⁶ And others, testing Him, ^(A)were seeking from Him ^[a]a sign from heaven.
