Psalm 72:1-7

72 1 He prayeth for the prosperous estate of the kingdom of Solomon, who was the figure of Christ, 4 under whom shall be righteousness, peace, and felicity. 10 Unto whom all Kings and nations shall do homage, 17 Whose name and power shall endure forever, and in whom all nations shall be blessed.

A Psalm [a]of Solomon.

Give thy [b]judgments to the King, O God, and thy righteousness to the King’s [c]son.

Then shall he judge thy people in righteousness, and thy poor with equity.

The [d]mountains, and the hills shall bring peace to the people by justice.

He shall [e]judge the poor of the people: he shall save the children of the needy, and shall subdue the oppressor.

They shall [f]fear thee as long as the sun and moon endureth, from generation to generation.

He shall come [g]down like the rain upon the mown grass, and as the showers that water the earth.

In his days shall the righteous flourish, and abundance of peace shall be so long as the moon endureth.

Psalm 72:18-19

18 Blessed be the Lord God, even the God of Israel which only doeth [a]wondrous things.

19 And blessed be his glorious Name forever: and let all the earth be filled with his glory. So be it, even so be it.

Isaiah 4:2-6

In that day shall the [a]bud of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and pleasant for them that are escaped of Israel.

Then he that shall be left in Zion, and he that shall remain in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, and every one shall be [b]written among the living in Jerusalem,

When the Lord shall wash the filthiness of the daughters of Zion, and purge the [c]blood of Jerusalem out of the midst thereof by the spirit of [d]judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

And the Lord shall create upon every place of mount Zion, and upon the assemblies thereof, [e]a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the [f]glory shall be a defense.

And a covering shall be for a shadow in the day for the heat, and a place of refuge and a covert for the storm [g]and for the rain.

Acts 1:12-17

12 ¶ Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount that is called the mount of Olives, which is near to Jerusalem, being from it a Sabbath [a]day’s journey.

13 [b]And when they were [c]come in, they went up into an upper chamber, where abode both Peter and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zealot, and Judas James’s brother.

14 These all [d]continued with [e]one accord in [f]prayer and supplication with the [g]women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his [h]brethren.

15 [i]And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said (now the number of [j]names that were in one place were about an hundred and twenty.)

16 [k]Ye men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, Which the (A)holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before of Judas, which was (B)guide to them that took Jesus.

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained fellowship in this ministration.

Acts 1:21-26

21 [a]Wherefore of these men which have companied with us, all the time that the Lord Jesus was [b]conversant among us,

22 Beginning from the baptism of John unto the day that he was taken up [c]from us, must one of them be made a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 [d]And they [e]presented two, Joseph called Barsabas, whose surname was Justus, and Matthias.

24 And they prayed, saying, Thou Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen,

25 That he may take the [f]room of this ministration and Apostleship, from which Judas hath [g]gone astray, to go to his own place.

26 Then they gave forth their lots: and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was by a common consent counted with the eleven Apostles.
