20 The LORD hear you on the day of trouble. The Name of the God of Jacob defend you;

² send you help from the Sanctuary and strengthen you out of Zion.

³ Let Him remember all your offerings and turn your burnt offerings into ashes. Selah.

⁴ Grant you according to your heart and fulfill all your purpose,

⁵ so that we may rejoice in your salvation—and set up the banner in the Name of our God—when the LORD shall perform all your petitions.

⁶ Now I know that the LORD will help His anointed; and will hear him from His Sanctuary, by the mighty help of His right hand.

⁷ Some trust in chariots, and some in horses. But we will remember the Name of the LORD our God.

⁸ They are brought down and fallen. But we are risen and stand upright.

⁹ Save, LORD! Let the king hear us on the day that we call! To him who excels: A Psalm of David.

40 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

² “On the first day of the first month, you shall set up the Tabernacle (the Tabernacle of the Congregation).

³ “And you shall put the Ark of the Testimony inside and cover the Ark with the veil.

⁴ “Also, you shall bring in the Table and set it in order as required. You shall also bring in the Lampstand and light its Lamps.

⁵ “And you shall set the Incense Altar of gold before the Ark of the Testimony and put up the hanging at the door of the Tabernacle.

⁶ “Moreover, you shall set the burnt offering Altar before the door of the Tabernacle (the Tabernacle of the Congregation).

⁷ “And you shall set the Basin between the Tabernacle of the Congregation and the Altar and put water in it.

⁸ “Then you shall set up the court all around and hang up the hanging at the court gate.

⁹ “Afterward, you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the Tabernacle, and all that is therein, and hallow it with all its instruments, so that it may be holy.

¹⁰ “And you shall anoint the Altar of the Burnt Offering, and all its instruments, and shall sanctify the Altar, so that it may be an Altar Most Holy.

¹¹ “Also, you shall anoint the Basin, and its Pedestal, and shall sanctify it.

¹² “Then, you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tabernacle of the Congregation and wash them with water.

¹³ “And you shall put the holy garments upon Aaron, and shalt anoint him, and sanctify him, so that he may minister to Me in the Priest’s office.

¹⁴ “You shall also bring his sons and clothe them with garments.

¹⁵ “And you shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, so that they may minister to me in the Priest’s office. For their anointing shall be a sign: that the Priesthood shall be everlasting to them, throughout their generations.”16 So Moses did according to all that the LORD had commanded him. So did he.

¹⁹ Seeing therefore, brothers, that by the blood of Jesus we may be bold to enter into the Holy Place,

²⁰ By the new and living way through the veil, which He has prepared for us (that is, His flesh).

²¹ And seeing we have a High Priest over the house of God,

²² let us draw near with a true heart, in assurance of faith; our hearts being sprinkled clean from an evil conscience

²³ and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us keep the profession of our hope without wavering. For He Who promised is faithful.

²⁴ And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and to good works,

²⁵ not forsaking the fellowship that we have among ourselves (as is the manner of some). But let us exhort one another, and so much more so because you see that the Day draws near.
