Psalm 63

Resurrection and Judgment

12 “At that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise.^[a] There will be a time of distress such as has never occurred since the beginning of the nation until then.^[b] But at that time your people—everyone who is found written in the book—will be delivered. ^{[c] 2} Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake—some to everlasting life, and others to shame and everlasting contempt. ^{[d] 3} Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavenly expanse. And those who turn many to righteousness will be like the stars forever and ever. ⁴ But you, Daniel, close up the words and seal the book until the time of the end.^[e] Many will run back and forth and knowledge will increase.’

Sardis: Coming Like a Thief

3 To the angel of Messiah’s community in Sardis write: “Thus says the One having the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: I know your deeds—you have a reputation for being alive, but you are dead. ² Wake up, and strengthen what remains that was about to die. For I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of My God. ³ So remember what you have received and heard—keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you.

⁴ “But still, you have a few people in Sardis who have not stained their clothes. They will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy. ⁵ The one who overcomes thus will be dressed in white clothes; I will never blot his name out of the Book of Life,^[a] and will confess his name before My Father and His angels. ⁶ He who has an ear, let him hear what the Ruach is saying to Messiah’s communities.
