¹⁶⁹ Let my complaint come before You, O LORD. And give me understanding according to Your Word.

¹⁷⁰ Let my supplication come before You and deliver me according to Your Promise.

¹⁷¹ My lips shall speak praise, when You have taught me Your Statutes.

¹⁷² My tongue shall testify of Your Word. For all Your Commandments are righteous.

¹⁷³ Let Your hand help me, for I have chosen Your Precepts.

¹⁷⁴ I have longed for Your salvation, O LORD; and Your Law is my delight.

¹⁷⁵ Let my soul live, and it shall praise You; and Your Judgments shall help me.

¹⁷⁶ I have gone astray like a lost sheep. Seek Your servant, for I do not forget Your Commandments. A song of degrees

¹² “But when the LORD has accomplished all His work upon Mount Zion and Jerusalem, I will visit the fruit of the proud heart of the king of Assyria and his glorious and proud looks.

¹³ “Because he said, ‘By the power of my own hand I have done it, and by my wisdom. Because I am wise.’ “Therefore I have removed the borders of the people, and have spoiled their treasures, and have pulled down the inhabitants like a valiant man.

¹⁴ “And My Hand has found the riches of the people as a nest. And as one who gathers leftover eggs, have I gathered all the Earth. And there was no one to move the wing or to open the mouth or to whisper.

¹⁵ “Shall the axe boast itself against him who hews with it? Or shall the saw exalt itself against him who moves it? As if the rod could wield itself against him who raises it, or the staff could lift itself up as if it were not wood?

¹⁶ “Therefore, the LORD God of Hosts shall send among His fat men leanness. And under His Glory, He shall kindle a burning, like the burning of fire.

¹⁷ “And the light of Israel shall be as a fire, and the Holy One thereof as a flame. And it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day

¹⁸ “and shall consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful fields, both soul and flesh. And he shall be as the fainting of a standard bearer.

¹⁹ “And the rest of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child may record them.”

²⁰ And at that day shall the remnant of Israel, and such as have escaped from the House of Jacob, lean no more upon him who struck them, but shall lean upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

²⁵ Then some of them of Jerusalem said, “Is this not He Whom they seek to kill?

²⁶ “And behold, He speaks openly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers really know that this is truly the Christ?

²⁷ “However, we know from where this Man is. But when the Christ comes, no one shall know from where He is.”

²⁸ Then Jesus cried in the Temple as He taught, saying, “You both know Me and know from where I am! Yet I have not come of Myself! And He who sent Me is true (Whom you do not know)!

²⁹ “But I know Him! For I am of Him, and He has sent Me!”

³⁰ Then they sought to take Him, but no one laid hands on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

³¹ Now many of the people believed in Him, and said, “When the Christ comes, will He do any more miracles than this Man has done?”

³² The Pharisees heard that the people murmured these things about Him. And the Pharisees, and chief priests, sent officers to take Him.

³³ Then Jesus said to them, “I am still with you a little while, and then I go to the One who sent Me.

³⁴ “You shall seek Me and shall not find Me. And where I am, you cannot come.”

³⁵ Then the Jews said among themselves, “Where will He go, that we shall not find Him? Will He go to those who are dispersed among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?

³⁶ “What saying is this that He said, ‘You shall seek Me, and shall not find Me’? And, ‘Where I am, you cannot come’?”
