Proverbs 9:1-6

The Way of Wisdom

Wisdom has built her house,
    she has hewn out her seven pillars;
she has killed her beasts, she has mixed her wine,
    she has also furnished her table.
She has sent out her maidens,
    she cries out from the highest places of the city,
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here.”
    As for him who wants understanding, she says to him,
“Come, eat of my bread,
    and drink of the wine which I have mixed.
Forsake foolishness and live,
    and go in the way of understanding.”

Psalm 34:9-14

Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints;
    for the ones who fear Him will not be in need.
10 The young lions are in want and suffer hunger,
    but the ones who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.
11 Come, you children, listen to me;
    I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
12 Who is the man who desires life,
    and loves a long life in order to see good?
13 Keep your tongue from evil,
    and your lips from speaking deceit.
14 Turn away from evil, and do good;
    seek peace, and pursue it.

Ephesians 5:15-20

15 See then that you walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise men, 16 making the most of the time because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 Do not be drunk with wine, for that is reckless living. But be filled with the Spirit. 19 Speak to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. 20 Give thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

John 6:51-58

51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. The bread which I shall give for the life of the world is My flesh.”

52 The Jews therefore quarreled among themselves, saying, “How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?”

53 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life. And I will raise him up on the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on Me also will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven, not as your fathers ate manna and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.”
