107 A canticle of a psalm for David himself.

² My heart is ready, O God, my heart is ready: I will sing, and will give praise, with my glory.

³ Arise, my glory; arise, psaltery and harp: I will arise in the morning early.

55 All you that thirst, come to the waters: and you that have no money make haste, buy, and eat: come ye, buy wine and milk without money, and without any price.

² Why do you spend money for that which is not breed, and your labour for that which doth not satisfy you? Hearken diligently to me, and eat that which is good, and your soul shall be delighted in fatness.

³ Incline your ear and come to me: hear and your soul shall live, and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the faithful mercies of David.

⁴ Behold I have given him for a witness to the people, for a leader and a master to the Gentiles.

⁵ Behold thou shalt call a nation, which thou knewest not: and the nations that knew not thee shall run to thee, because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel, for he hath glorified thee.

⁶ Seek ye the Lord, while he may be found: call upon him, while he is near.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unjust man his thoughts, and let him return to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God: for he is bountiful to forgive.

⁸ For my thoughts are not your thoughts: nor your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

⁹ For as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.

8 In those days again, when there was a great multitude, and had nothing to eat; calling his disciples together, he saith to them:

² I have compassion on the multitude, for behold they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat.

³ And if I shall send them away fasting to their home, they will faint in the way; for some of them came from afar off.

⁴ And his disciples answered him: From whence can any one fill them here with bread in the wilderness?

⁵ And he asked them: How many loaves have ye? Who said: Seven.

⁶ And taking the seven loaves, giving thanks, he broke, and gave to his disciples for to set before them; and they set them before the people.

⁷ And they had a few little fishes; and he blessed them, and commanded them to be set before them.

⁸ And they did eat and were filled; and they took up that which was left of the fragments, seven baskets.

⁹ And they that had eaten were about four thousand; and he sent them away.

¹⁰ And immediately going up into a ship with his disciples, he came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
