Psalm 118:1-2

Thanksgiving for the Lord’s Saving Goodness.

118 (A)Give thanks to the Lord, for (B)He is good;
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Oh let (C)Israel say,
“His lovingkindness is everlasting.”

Psalm 118:19-29

19 (A)Open to me the gates of righteousness;
I shall enter through them, I shall give thanks to [a]the Lord.
20 This is the gate of the Lord;
The (B)righteous will enter through it.
21 I shall give thanks to You, for You have (C)answered me,
And You have (D)become my salvation.

22 The (E)stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone.
23 This is [b]the Lord’s doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us (F)rejoice and be glad in it.
25 O Lord, (G)do save, we beseech You;
O Lord, we beseech You, do send (H)prosperity!
26 (I)Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord;
We have (J)blessed you from the house of the Lord.
27 (K)The Lord is God, and He has given us (L)light;
Bind the festival sacrifice with cords [c]to the (M)horns of the altar.
28 (N)You are my God, and I give thanks to You;
You are my God, (O)I extol You.
29 (P)Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good;
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Jeremiah 33:10-16

10 “Thus says the Lord, ‘Yet again there will be heard in this place, of which you say, “It is a (A)waste, without man and without beast,” that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are (B)desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without beast, 11 the voice of (C)joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say,

(D)Give thanks to the Lord of hosts,
For the Lord is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting”;

and of those who bring a (E)thank offering into the house of the Lord. For I will restore the [a]fortunes of the land as they were at first,’ says the Lord.

12 “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘There will again be in this place which is waste, (F)without man or beast, and in all its cities, a [b]habitation of shepherds who rest their (G)flocks. 13 In the (H)cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will again (I)pass under the hands of the one who numbers them,’ says the Lord.

The Davidic Kingdom

14 ‘Behold, (J)days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when I will (K)fulfill the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah. 15 In those days and at that time I will cause a (L)righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and He shall execute (M)justice and righteousness on the earth. 16 In those days (N)Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this is the name by which she will be called: the (O)Lord is our righteousness.’

Mark 10:32-34

Jesus’ Sufferings Foretold

32 (A)They were on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking on ahead of them; and they (B)were amazed, and those who followed were fearful. And again He took the twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him, 33 saying, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and (C)the Son of Man will be [a]delivered to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will [b]hand Him over to the Gentiles. 34 They will mock Him and (D)spit on Him, and scourge Him and kill Him, and three days later He will rise again.”

Mark 10:46-52

Bartimaeus Receives His Sight

46 (A)Then they *came to Jericho. And (B)as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus the (C)Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, (D)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “(E)Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him here.” So they *called the blind man, saying to him, “(F)Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you.” 50 Throwing aside his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus. 51 And answering him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the blind man said to Him, “[a](G)Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!” 52 And Jesus said to him, “Go; (H)your faith has [b]made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
