Psalm 133

A Song of Praise

133 See, how good and how pleasing it is for brothers to live together as one! It is like oil of great worth poured on the head, flowing down through the hair on the face, even the face of Aaron, and flowing down to his coat. It is like the morning water of Hermon coming down upon the hills of Zion. For there the Lord has given the gift of life that lasts forever.

Genesis 50:22-26

The Death of Joseph

22 Joseph and his father’s family stayed in Egypt. And Joseph lived 110 years. 23 He lived long enough to see Ephraim’s grandchildren. And the sons of Manasseh’s son Machir were held on Joseph’s knees. 24 Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will take care of you. He will bring you from this land to the land that He promised to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob.” 25 Then Joseph made the sons of Israel promise. He said, “God will take care of you. And you will carry my bones from here.” 26 So Joseph died after living 110 years. They made his body ready, and he was put in a grave in Egypt.

Mark 11:20-25

The Fig Tree Dries Up (A)

20 In the morning they passed by the fig tree. They saw it was dried up from the roots. 21 Peter remembered what had happened the day before and said to Jesus, “Teacher, see! The fig tree which You spoke to has dried up!” 22 Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For sure, I tell you, a person may say to this mountain, ‘Move from here into the sea.’ And if he does not doubt, but believes that what he says will be done, it will happen. 24 Because of this, I say to you, whatever you ask for when you pray, have faith that you will receive it. Then you will get it. 25 When you stand to pray, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him. Then your Father in heaven will forgive your sins also.
