Isaiah 56:1

All Nations Can Be Saved

56 The Lord says, “Hold on to what is right and fair. Do what is right and good. My saving power will soon come, and I will show what is right.

Isaiah 56:6-8

“And those from a strange land who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him and to love His name, to be His servants, and keep the Day of Rest holy, and keep My agreement, even those I will bring to My holy mountain and give them joy in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and gifts will be received on My altar. For My house will be called a house of prayer for all people.” The Lord God Who gathers the people of Israel from other lands says, “I will gather yet others to them, besides those already gathered.”

Psalm 67

Nations Praise God

67 May God show loving-kindness toward us and bring good to us. May He make His face shine upon us. May Your way be known on the earth, and Your saving power among all nations. May the people praise You, O God. May all the people praise You. May the nations be glad and sing for joy. For You will be fair when You judge the people and rule the nations of the earth. May the people praise You, O God. May all the people praise You. The earth has given its fruit. God, our God, will bring good to us. God will bring good to us, and all the ends of the earth will fear Him.

Romans 11:1-2

11 I ask then, “Has God put His people, the Jews, aside?” No, not at all! I myself am a Jew. Abraham was my early father. I am from the family group of Benjamin. God has not put His people aside. He chose them from the beginning. Do you know what the Holy Writings say about Elijah? Do you know what Elijah said to God against the Jews?

Romans 11:29-32

29 God does not change His mind when He chooses men and gives them His gifts. 30 At one time you did not obey God. But when the Jews did not receive God’s gift, you did. It was because they did not obey. 31 The Jews will not obey now. God’s loving-kindness to you will some day turn them to Him. Then the Jews may have His loving-kindness also. 32 God has said that all men have broken His Law. But He will show loving-kindness on all of them.

Matthew 15:10-20

10 Jesus called the people to Him and said to them, “Listen and understand this! 11 It is not what goes into a man’s mouth that makes his mind and heart sinful. It is what comes out of a man’s mouth that makes him sinful.”

12 His followers came to Him. They said, “Did You know the proud religious law-keepers were ashamed and turned away because of You when they heard this?” 13 He said, “Every plant that My Father in heaven did not plant will be pulled up by the roots. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. If one blind man leads another blind man, they will both fall into a hole.”

15 Then Peter said to Jesus, “Tell us this picture-story so we can understand it.” 16 Jesus said, “Do you not understand yet? 17 Do you not understand that whatever goes into the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But whatever comes from the mouth has come out of the heart. These things make the man unclean inside. 19 For out of the heart come bad thoughts, killing other people, sex sins of a married person, sex sins of a person not married, stealing, lying, speaking against God. 20 These are the things that make the man unclean inside. It does not make a man sinful to eat with hands that have not been washed.”

Matthew 15:21-28

Jesus Puts a Demon Out of a Girl (A)

21 Jesus went from there to the cities of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A woman came from the land of Canaan. She cried out to Jesus and said, “Take pity on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter has a demon and is much troubled.” 23 But Jesus did not speak a word to her. His followers kept asking, saying, “Send her away for she keeps calling us.” 24 He said, “I was sent only to the Jewish people who are lost.” 25 Then she came and got down before Jesus and worshiped Him. She said, “Lord, help me!” 26 But He said, “It is not right to take children’s food and throw it to the dogs.” 27 She said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the pieces that fall from the table of their owners.” 28 Jesus said to her, “Woman, you have much faith. You will have what you asked for.” Her daughter was healed at that very time.
