¹⁴ Adonai upholds all who fall
and raises up all who are bowed down.
¹⁵ The eyes of all look to You
and You give them their food on time.
¹⁶ You open Your hand
and satisfy every living thing with favor.
¹⁷ Adonai is righteous in all His ways
and kind in all His deeds.
¹⁸ Adonai is near to all who call on Him,
to all who call on Him in truth.
¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him.
He will hear their cry and save them.
²⁰ Adonai watches over all who love Him,
    but all the wicked He will destroy.
²¹ My mouth declares the praise of Adonai.
Let all flesh bless His holy Name forever and ever!

A wise son gives joy to his father,
but a foolish son grief to his mother.
² Ill-gotten treasures profit nothing,
but righteousness delivers from death.
³ Adonai will not let a righteous soul go hungry,
but thwarts the cravings of the wicked.
⁴ Lazy hands make a man poor,
but diligent hands bring wealth.
⁵ He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son,
but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.
