Psalm 146

146 Praise the LORD, O my soul!

I will praise the LORD during my life. As long as I have any being, I will sing to my God.

Do not put your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, for there is no help in him.

His breath departs. He returns to his earth. Then, his thoughts perish.

Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob for his help; whose hope is in the LORD his God,

Who made Heaven and Earth, the sea, and all that therein is. Who keeps his fidelity forever.

Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives bread to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners.

The LORD gives sight to the blind. The LORD raises up the crooked. The LORD loves the righteous.

The LORD keeps the strangers. He relieves the fatherless and widow; but He overthrows the way of the wicked.

10 The LORD shall reign forever! O Zion, your God endures from generation to generation. Praise the LORD!

Isaiah 33:1-9

33 Woe to you who plunder, yet were not plundered, and does wickedly, yet they did not do wickedly against you. When you shall cease to plunder, you shall be plundered. When you shall stop doing wickedly, they shall do wickedly against you.

O LORD, have mercy upon us. We have waited for You. Be their Arm in the morning, our help also in time of trouble!

At the noise of the tumult, the people fled. At Your exalting, the nations were scattered.

And Your plunder shall be gathered like the gathering of caterpillars. And He shall go against him like the leaping of grasshoppers.

The LORD is exalted, for He dwells on high. He has filled Zion with judgment and justice.

And there shall be stability of the times, strength, salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD shall be His treasure.

Behold, their messengers shall cry outside. And the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.

The paths are desolate. The wayfaring man ceases. He has broken the covenant. He has despised the cities. He regards no man.

The Earth mourns and faints. Lebanon is ashamed and withered. Sharon is like a wilderness. And Bashan is shaken, and Carmel.

Matthew 15:21-31

21 And Jesus left there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon.

22 And behold, a Gentile woman came out of the same region, and cried, saying to Him, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, the Son of David! My daughter is badly possessed by a demon!”

23 But He did not answer her a word. Then His disciples came to Him and urged Him, saying, “Send her away. For she cries after us.”

24 But He answered, and said, “I am not sent, but to the lost sheep of the House of Israel.”

25 Still, she came and worshipped Him, saying, “Lord help me.”

26 And He answered, and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and cast it to the dogs.”

27 But she said, “Truth, Lord. Yet, even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their master’s table.”

28 Then Jesus answered, and said to her, “O, woman. Great is your faith. Let it be as you desire.” And her daughter was made whole at that hour.

29 So Jesus went away from there, and came near to the Sea of Galilee, and went up in a mountain and sat down there.

30 And great multitudes came to Him - having with them lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others - and cast them down at Jesus’ feet. And He healed them.

31 So much so that the multitude wondered to see the dumb speak, the maimed whole, the lame walk, and the blind see. And they glorified the God of Israel.
