30 I will (A)extol You, O Lord, for You have (B)lifted me up,
And have not let my (C)enemies rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God,
I (D)cried to You for help, and You (E)healed me.
3 O Lord, You have (F)brought up my soul from [a]Sheol;
You have kept me alive, [b]that I would not (G)go down to the pit.
4 (H)Sing praise to the Lord, you (I)His godly ones,
And (J)give thanks to His holy [c](K)name.
5 For (L)His anger is but for a moment,
His (M)favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may (N)last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
6 Now as for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I will (O)never be moved.”
7 O Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong;
You (P)hid Your face, I was dismayed.
8 To You, O Lord, I called,
And to the Lord I made supplication:
9 “What profit is there in my blood, if I (Q)go down to the pit?
Will the (R)dust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
10 “(S)Hear, O Lord, and be gracious to me;
O Lord, be my (T)helper.”
11 You have turned for me (U)my mourning into dancing;
You have (V)loosed my sackcloth and girded me with (W)gladness,
12 That my [d](X)soul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will (Y)give thanks to You forever.
25 Now in all Israel was no one as handsome as Absalom, so highly praised; (A)from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no defect in him. 26 When he (B)cut the hair of his head (and it was at the end of every year that he cut it, for it was heavy on him so he cut it), he weighed the hair of his head at 200 shekels by the king’s weight. 27 (C)To Absalom there were born three sons, and one daughter whose name was (D)Tamar; she was a woman of beautiful appearance.
28 Now Absalom lived two full years in Jerusalem, (E)and did not see the king’s face. 29 Then Absalom sent for Joab, to send him to the king, but he would not come to him. So he sent again a second time, but he would not come. 30 Therefore he said to his servants, “See, (F)Joab’s [a]field is next to mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the [b]field on fire. 31 Then Joab arose, came to Absalom at his house and said to him, “Why have your servants set my [c]field on fire?” 32 Absalom [d]answered Joab, “Behold, I sent for you, saying, ‘Come here, that I may send you to the king, to say, “Why have I come from Geshur? It would be better for me still to be there.”’ Now therefore, let me see the king’s face, (G)and if there is iniquity in me, let him put me to death.” 33 So when Joab came to the king and told him, he called for Absalom. Thus he came to the king and prostrated himself on his face to the ground before the king, and (H)the king kissed Absalom.
2 (A)And they brought to Him a (B)paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, “(C)Take courage, [a]son; (D)your sins are forgiven.” 3 And some of the scribes said [b]to themselves, “This fellow (E)blasphemes.” 4 And Jesus (F)knowing their thoughts said, “Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5 Which is easier, to say, ‘(G)Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk’? 6 But so that you may know that (H)the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then He *said to the (I)paralytic, “Get up, pick up your bed and go home.” 7 And he got up and [c]went home. 8 But when the crowds saw this, they were [d]awestruck, and (J)glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
