Readings for Lent and Easter
3 Which we have heard and known,
And (A)our fathers have told us.
4 We will (B)not conceal them from their children,
But (C)tell to the generation to come the praises of the Lord,
And His strength and His (D)wondrous works that He has done.
5 For He established a (E)testimony in Jacob
And appointed a (F)law in Israel,
Which He (G)commanded our fathers
That they should [a](H)teach them to their children,
6 (I)That the generation to come might know, even (J)the children yet to be born,
That they may arise and (K)tell them to their children,
7 That they should put their confidence in God
And (L)not forget the works of God,
But (M)keep His commandments,
8 And (N)not be like their fathers,
A (O)stubborn and rebellious generation,
A generation that (P)did not [b]prepare its heart
And whose spirit was not (Q)faithful to God.
