¹² Many ^(A)bulls have surrounded me;
Strong bulls of ^(B)Bashan have encircled me.
¹³ They ^(C)open their mouths wide at me,
As a ravening and roaring ^(D)lion.
¹⁴ I am ^(E)poured out like water,
And all my ^(F)bones are out of joint;
My ^(G)heart is like wax;
It is melted within ^[a]me.
¹⁵ My ^(H)strength is dried up like a piece of pottery,
And ^(I)my tongue clings to my jaws;
And You ^(J)lay me ^[b]in the dust of death.
¹⁶ For ^(K)dogs have surrounded me;
^[c]A band of evildoers has encompassed me;
^[d]They ^(L)pierced my hands and my feet.
¹⁷ I can count all my bones.
^(M)They look, they stare at me;
¹⁸ They ^(N)divide my garments among them,
And they cast lots for my clothing.
