1 Cyrus sendeth again the people that was in captivity,  8 and restoreth them their holy vessels.

Now (A)in [a]the first year of Cyrus King of Persia (that the word of the LORD, spoken by the [b]mouth of Jeremiah, might be accomplished) the Lord stirred up the [c]spirit of Cyrus King of Persia, and he made a proclamation through all his kingdom, and also by writing, saying,

Thus saith Cyrus King of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me [d]all the kingdoms of the earth, and he hath commanded me to build him an house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

Who is he among you of all his people with whom his God is? let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel: he is the God, which is in Jerusalem.

And everyone that remaineth in any place (where he sojourneth) [e]let the men of his place relieve him with silver and with gold, and with substance, and with cattle, [f]and with a willing offering, for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

Then the chief fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the Priests and the Levites rose up, with all them whose spirit God had raised to go up, to build the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem.

And all [g]they that were about them, strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with substance and with cattle, and with precious things, besides all that was willingly offered.

Also the king Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, (B)which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his god.

Even them did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them unto [h]Sheshbazzar the Prince of Judah.

John 19:23-42

23 [a]Then the (A)soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments (and made four parts, to every soldier a part) and his coat: and the coat was without seam woven from the top throughout.

24 ¶ Therefore they said one to another, Let us not divide it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be. This was that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which saith, (B)They parted my garments among them, and on my coat did cast lots. So the soldiers did these things indeed.

25 [b]Then stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

26 And when Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he said unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son.

27 Then said he to the disciple, Behold thy mother: and from that hour, the disciple took her home unto him.

28 [c]After, when Jesus knew that all things were performed, that the (C)Scripture might be fulfilled, he said, I thirst.

29 And there was set a [d]vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a sponge with vinegar: and put it about an Hyssop stalk, and put it to his mouth.

30 Now when Jesus had received of the vinegar, he said, It is finished, and bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

31 [e]The Jews then (because it was the Preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day: for that Sabbath was an high day) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken down.

32 Then came the soldiers and brake the legs of the first, and of the other, which was crucified with Jesus.

33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs.

34 [f]But one of the soldiers with a spear [g]pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.

35 And he that saw it, bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe it.

36 For these things were done, that the Scripture should be fulfilled, (D)Not a bone of him shall be broken.

37 And again another Scripture saith, (E)They shall see him whom they have thrust through.

38 (F)[h]And after these things, Joseph of Arimathea (who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews) besought Pilate that he might take down the body of Jesus. And Pilate gave him license. He came then and took Jesus’ body.

39 And there came (G)also Nicodemus (which first came to Jesus by night) and brought of myrrh and aloes mingled together about an hundred pounds.

40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wrapped it in linen clothes with the odors, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

41 And in that place where Jesus was crucified, was a garden, and in the garden a new sepulcher, wherein was [i]never man yet laid.

42 There then laid they Jesus, because of the Jews’ Preparation day, for the sepulcher was near.
