Old/New Testament
Remember His Holy Name
97 (A)Yahweh [a]reigns, let the (B)earth rejoice;
Let the many (C)coastlands be glad.
2 (D)Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him;
(E)Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.
3 (F)Fire goes before Him
And (G)burns up His adversaries all around.
4 His (H)lightnings light up the world;
The earth sees and (I)trembles.
5 The mountains (J)melt like wax at the presence of Yahweh,
At the presence of the (K)Lord of all the earth.
6 The (L)heavens declare His righteousness,
And (M)all the peoples see His glory.
7 Let all those be ashamed who serve (N)graven images,
Who boast of (O)idols;
[b](P)Worship Him, all you [c]gods!
8 Zion [d]heard this and (Q)was glad,
And the daughters of Judah have rejoiced
Because of Your judgments, O Yahweh.
9 For You are Yahweh (R)Most High over all the earth;
You are exalted far (S)above all [e]gods.
10 (T)Hate evil, you who love Yahweh,
Who (U)keeps the souls of His holy ones;
He (V)delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
11 (W)Light is sown for the righteous
And (X)gladness for the upright in heart.
12 Be (Y)glad in Yahweh, you righteous ones,
And (Z)give thanks for the remembrance of [f]His holy name.
Sing to Yahweh a New Song
A Psalm.
98 Sing to Yahweh a (AA)new song,
For He has done (AB)wondrous deeds,
His (AC)right hand and His (AD)holy arm have [g]worked out His salvation.
2 (AE)Yahweh has made known His salvation;
He has (AF)revealed His righteousness in the eyes of the nations.
3 He has (AG)remembered His lovingkindness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
(AH)All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 (AI)Make a loud shout to Yahweh, all the earth;
(AJ)Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
5 Sing praises to Yahweh with the (AK)lyre,
With the lyre and the (AL)sound of singing.
6 With (AM)trumpets and the sound of the horn
(AN)Make a loud shout before (AO)King Yahweh.
7 Let the (AP)sea roar, as well as its fullness,
The (AQ)world and those who dwell in it.
8 Let the (AR)rivers clap their hands,
Let the (AS)mountains sing together for joy
9 Before Yahweh, for He is coming to (AT)judge the earth;
He will judge the world with righteousness
And (AU)the peoples with [h]equity.
Holy Is Yahweh Our God
99 (AV)Yahweh reigns, let the peoples tremble;
He (AW)sits enthroned above the cherubim, let the earth quake!
2 Yahweh is (AX)great in Zion,
And He is (AY)exalted above all the peoples.
3 Let them praise Your (AZ)great and awesome name;
(BA)Holy is [i]He.
4 [j]The strength of the King (BB)loves [k]justice;
You have established [l](BC)equity;
You have (BD)done [m]justice and righteousness in Jacob.
5 (BE)Exalt Yahweh our God
And (BF)worship at the footstool of His feet;
(BG)Holy is He.
6 (BH)Moses and Aaron were among His (BI)priests,
And (BJ)Samuel was among those who (BK)called on His name;
They (BL)would call upon Yahweh and He would answer them.
7 He (BM)would speak to them in the pillar of cloud;
They (BN)kept His testimonies
And the statute that He gave them.
8 O Yahweh our God, You (BO)answered them;
You were a (BP)forgiving God to them,
And yet an (BQ)avenger of their evil deeds.
9 Exalt Yahweh our God
And worship at His holy mountain,
For holy is Yahweh our God.
Final Instructions and Greetings
16 Now I (A)commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a [a]servant of the church which is at (B)Cenchrea; 2 that you (C)receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the [b](D)saints, and that you help her in whatever matter she may have need of you; for she herself has also been a benefactor of many, [c]and of myself as well.
3 Greet (E)Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers (F)in (G)Christ Jesus,
4 who for my life risked their own necks, to whom not only do I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles;
5 also greet (H)the church that is in their house.
Greet Epaenetus, my beloved, who is the (I)first convert to Christ from [d](J)Asia.
6 Greet Mary, who has labored much for you.
7 Greet Andronicus and [e]Junia, my (K)kinsmen and my (L)fellow prisoners, who are outstanding to the apostles, who also [f]were (M)in Christ before me.
8 Greet Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord.
9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker (N)in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.
10 Greet Apelles, the approved (O)in Christ. Greet those who are of the household of Aristobulus.
11 Greet Herodion, my (P)kinsman.
Greet those of the household of Narcissus, who are in the Lord.
12 Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, laborers in the Lord.
Greet Persis the beloved, who labored much in the Lord.
13 Greet (Q)Rufus, a choice man in the Lord, also his mother and mine.
14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas and the brothers with them.
15 Greet Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas, and all (R)the [g]saints who are with them.
16 (S)Greet one another with a holy kiss.
All the churches of Christ greet you.
17 Now I urge you, brothers, to keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and stumblings (T)contrary to the teaching which you learned, and (U)turn away from them. 18 For such men are (V)slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of (W)their own [h]stomach, and by their (X)smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting. 19 For the report of your obedience (Y)has reached to all. Therefore I am rejoicing over you, but (Z)I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil. 20 (AA)And the God of peace will soon crush (AB)Satan under your feet.
(AC)The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.
21 (AD)Timothy my fellow worker greets you, and so do (AE)Lucius and (AF)Jason and (AG)Sosipater, my (AH)kinsmen.
22 I, Tertius, who (AI)wrote this letter, greet you in the Lord.
23 (AJ)Gaius, host to me and to the whole church, greets you. (AK)Erastus, the city treasurer greets you, and Quartus, the brother. 24 [i][The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.]
25 (AL)Now to Him who is able to strengthen you (AM)according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of (AN)the mystery which has been kept secret for (AO)long ages past, 26 but now is manifested, and by (AP)the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the Gentiles, leading to (AQ)obedience of faith; 27 to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, (AR)be the glory forever. Amen.
