⁶ Let no one deceive you with empty words. For the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.

⁷ Therefore, do not be companions with them.

⁸ For you were once darkness but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

⁹ For the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth,

¹⁰ approving that which is pleasing to the Lord.

¹¹ And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. But rather, even expose them.

¹² For it is shameful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.

¹³ But all things, when they are exposed by the light, are made visible. For it is light that makes all things visible.

¹⁴ Therefore it says, “Awake, you who sleep. And stand up from the dead. And Christ shall shine upon you.”

¹⁵ Be mindful, therefore, that you walk carefully - not as fools, but as wise -

¹⁶ redeeming the season. For the days are evil.

¹⁷ Therefore, be not unwise. But, understand what the will of the Lord is.

¹⁸ And do not be drunk with wine (wherein is wastefulness). But, be filled with the Spirit,

¹⁹ speaking to yourselves in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts,

²⁰ giving thanks always, for all things, to God, even the Father, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
