Jubilee Bible 2000 (JUB)
Version
Joshua 15

15 This then was the lot of the tribe of the sons of Judah by their families: next to the border of Edom, of the wilderness of Zin towards the Negev on the south side.

And their border on the side of the Negev was from the shore of the salt sea from the bay that looks toward the Negev;

and it went out towards the Negev to the ascent to Acrabbim passing unto Zin and ascending up by the Negev unto Kadeshbarnea past Hezron and going up by Adar, it went around to Karkaa,

from there it passed toward Azmon and went out unto the river of Egypt, and this border goes out to the western sea. This shall be your border of the Negev.

And the east border is the salt sea, even unto the end of the Jordan. And the border in the north quarter, from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan,

and this border goes up to Bethhogla and passes along by the north of Betharabah, and from here this border goes up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben.

And this border goes back up to Debir from the valley of Achor and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the ascent to Adummim, which is towards the Negev of the river, and this border passes the waters of Enshemesh and comes out at the fount of Rogel;

and this border goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom unto the side of the Jebusite towards the Negev; this is Jerusalem. Then this border goes up to the top of the mountain that is before the valley of Hinnom westward, which is at the end of the valley of the giants northward;

and this border comes around from the top of the mountain unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah and goes out to the cities of Mount Ephron; and the border goes around to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim.

10 After this, the border turns from Baalah westward unto Mount Seir and passes to the side of Mount Jearim, which is Chesalon, on the north side, and descends to Bethshemesh and passes on to Timnah.

11 Then this border goes out to the side of Ekron northward; and the same border comes around to Shicron and passes by Mount Baalah and goes out to Jabneel; and this border comes out to the sea.

12 And the west border is the great sea. This is the border of the sons of Judah round about according to their families.

13 ¶ And unto Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the sons of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, even the city of Arba, the father of Anak, which city is Hebron.

14 And Caleb drove from there the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the sons of Anak.

15 From there he went up to the inhabitants of Debir, and the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher.

16 And Caleb said, He that smites Kirjathsepher and takes it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter to wife.

17 And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it; and he gave him Achsah his daughter to wife.

18 And it came to pass when he was taking her, he persuaded her to ask of her father for land to cultivate. Then she lighted off her ass, and Caleb said unto her, What wouldest thou?

19 And she answered, Give me a blessing, for thou hast given me a dry land; give me also springs of water. And he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs.

20 ¶ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah according to their families.

21 And these were the cities in the border of the tribe of the sons of Judah towards the border of Edom towards the Negev: Kabzeel, Eder, Jagur,

63 As for the Jebusites who inhabit Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusite remains in Jerusalem with the sons of Judah unto this day.

Luke 18:18-43

18 ¶ And a certain prince asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why dost thou call me good? No one is good except one, that is, God.

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not murder, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21 And he said, All these things I have kept from my youth up.

22 Now when Jesus heard this, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.

23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful, for he was very rich.

24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How difficult it is for those that have riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

25 For it is easier to put a cable through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26 And those that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

28 Then Peter said, Behold, we have left all and followed thee.

29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no one that has left house or parents or brethren or wife or children for the kingdom of God’s sake

30 who shall not receive manifold more in this present time and in the age to come, eternal life.

31 ¶ Then he took unto him the twelve and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles and shall be mocked and spitefully treated and spitted on;

33 and they shall scourge him and put him to death, but the third day he shall rise again.

34 And they understood none of these things, and this word was hid from them, and they did not know what was said.

35 ¶ And it came to pass that as he came near unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat beside the way begging,

36 and hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what this might be.

37 And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth passes by.

38 And he cried out, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

39 And those who went before rebuked him that he should remain silent; but he cried out so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

40 And Jesus stopped and commanded him to be brought unto him, and when he was come near, he asked him,

41 saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may see.

42 And Jesus said unto him, See; thy faith has saved thee.

43 And immediately he saw and followed him, glorifying God; and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

Psalm 86

A Prayer of David.

¶ Bow down thine ear, O LORD, hear me, for I am poor and needy.

Preserve my soul; for I am merciful, O thou my God, save thy slave that trusts in thee.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord, for I cry unto thee daily.

Rejoice the soul of thy slave, for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

For thou, Lord, art good and ready to forgive and plenteous in mercy unto all those that call upon thee.

Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer and attend to the voice of my supplications.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee, for thou wilt answer me.

¶ Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord, neither is there any other who does thy works.

All the Gentiles whom thou hast made shall come and humble themselves before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great and doest wondrous things; thou alone art God.

11 Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth; firm up my heart that I might fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy upon me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest part of Sheol.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a merciful and gracious God, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 O look into me and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy slave and keep the son of thine handmaid.

17 Show me a token for good that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed because thou, O LORD, hast helped me and comforted me.

Proverbs 13:9-10

¶ The light of the righteous shall rejoice: but the fire of the wicked shall be put out.

10 ¶ Pride shall certainly give birth to contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.
