Psalm 80

80 1 A lamentable prayer to God to help the miseries of his Church, 8 Desiring him to consider their first estate, when his favor shined toward them, to the intent that he might finish that work which he had begun.

To him that excelleth on Shoshannim Eduth, A Psalm committed to Asaph.

Hear, [a]O thou shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like sheep: show thy brightness, thou that sittest between the [b]Cherubims.

Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come to help us.

[c]Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine that we may be saved.

O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be [d]angry against the prayer of thy people?

Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink with great measure.

Thou hast made us a [e]strife unto our neighbors, and our enemies laugh at us among themselves.

[f]Turn us again, O God of hosts: cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Thou hast brought a [g]vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

Thou madest room for it, and didst cause it to take root, and it filled the land.

10 The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the [h]goodly cedars.

11 She stretched out her branches unto the Sea, and her boughs unto the [i]river.

12 Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they, which pass by the way, have plucked her?

13 The wild [j]boar out of the wood hath destroyed it, and the wild beasts of the field have eaten it up.

14 Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down [k]from heaven and behold, and visit this vine,

15 And the vineyard, that thy right hand hath planted, and the young vine, which thou madest [l]strong for thyself.

16 It is burnt with fire, and cut down: and they perish at the [m]rebuke of thy countenance.

17 Let thine hand be upon the [n]man of thy right hand, and upon the son of man, whom thou madest strong for thine own self.

18 So will not we go back from thee, [o]revive thou us, and we shall call upon thy Name.

19 Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts: cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.

Psalm 146-147

146 1 David declareth his great zeal that he hath to praise God. 3 And teacheth, not to trust in man, but only in God Almighty, 7 Which delivereth the afflicted,  9 Defendeth the strangers, comforteth the fatherless, and the widows, 10 And reigneth forever.

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise thou the Lord, O my [a]soul.

I will praise the Lord during my life; as long as I have any being, I will sing unto my God.

Put not your trust in [b]Princes, nor in the son of man, for there is no help in him.

His breath departeth, and he returneth to his earth; then his [c]thoughts perish.

Blessed is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Which made [d]heaven and earth, the sea, and all that therein is; which keepeth his fidelity forever,

Which executeth justice [e]for the oppressed, which giveth bread to the hungry; the Lord looseth the prisoners.

The Lord giveth sight to the blind: the Lord raiseth up the crooked: the Lord [f]loveth the righteous.

The Lord keepeth the [g]strangers: he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but he overthroweth the way of the wicked.

10 The Lord shall [h]reign forever: O Zion, thy God endureth from generation to generation. Praise ye the Lord.

147 1 The Prophet praiseth the bounty, wisdom, power, justice, and providence of God upon all his creatures. 2 But specially upon his Church, which he gathereth together after their dispersion, 19 Declaring his word and judgment so unto them, as he hath done to none other people.

Praise ye the Lord, for it is good to sing unto our God: for it is a [i]pleasant thing, and praise is comely.

The Lord doth build up [j]Jerusalem, and gather together the dispersed of Israel.

He healeth those that are [k]broken in heart, and bindeth up their sores.

He [l]counteth the number of the stars, and calleth them all by their names.

Great is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdom is infinite.

The Lord relieveth the meek, and abaseth the wicked to the [m]ground.

Sing unto the Lord with praise: sing upon the harp unto our God,

Which [n]covereth the heaven with clouds, and prepareth rain for the earth, and maketh the grass to grow upon the mountains:

Which giveth to beasts their food, and to the young ravens that [o]cry.

10 He hath no pleasure in the [p]strength of an horse, neither delighteth he in the legs of man.

11 But the Lord delighteth in them that fear him, and attend upon his mercy.

12 Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem: praise thy God, O Zion.

13 For he hath made the bars of the gates [q]strong, and hath blessed thy children within thee.

14 He setteth peace in thy borders, and satisfieth thee with the [r]flour of wheat.

15 He sendeth forth his [s]commandment upon earth, and his word runneth very [t]swiftly.

16 He giveth snow like wool, and scattereth the hoary frost like ashes.

17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can abide the cold thereof?

18 He sendeth his word and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

19 He showeth his [u]word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20 He hath not dealt so with every nation, neither have they [v]known his judgments. Praise ye the Lord.

Isaiah 29:13-24

13 Therefore the Lord said, Because this people [a]come near unto me with their mouth, and honor me with their lips, but have removed their heart far from me, and their [b]fear toward me was taught by the precept of men,

14 Therefore behold, I will again do a marvelous work in this people, even a marvelous work, and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall [c]perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.

15 Woe unto them that [d]seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord: for their works are in darkness, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

16 Your turning of devices shall it not be esteemed [e]as the potter’s clay? for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or the thing formed, say of him that fashioned it, He had none understanding?

17 Is it not yet but a little while, and Lebanon shall be [f]turned into Carmel? and Carmel shall be counted as a forest?

18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

19 The meek in the Lord shall receive joy again, and the poor men shall rejoice in the Holy one of Israel.

20 For the cruel man shall cease, and the scornful shall be consumed: and all that hasted to iniquity, shall be cut off:

21 Which made a man to sin in the [g]word, and took him in a snare: which reproved them in the gate, and made the just to fall without cause.

22 Therefore thus saith the Lord unto the house of Jacob, even he that redeemed Abraham: Jacob shall not now be confounded, neither now shall his face be pale.

23 But when he seeth his children, the work of mine hands, in the midst of him, they shall sanctify my Name, and sanctify the Holy one of Jacob, and shall fear the God of Israel.

24 Then they that erred in spirit, [h]shall have understanding, and they that murmured, shall learn doctrine.

Revelation 21:22-22:5

22 And I saw no Temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the Temple of it.

23 (A)[a]And their city hath no need of the Sun, neither of the Moon to shine in it: for the glory of God did light it: and the Lamb is the light of it.

24 (B)And the people which are saved, shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honor unto it.

25 (C)And the gates of it shall not be shut by day: for there shall be no night there.

26 And the glory and honor of the Gentiles shall be brought unto it.

27 And there shall enter into it none unclean thing, neither whatsoever worketh abomination or lies: but they which are written in the Lamb’s (D)book of life.

22 1 The river of water of life is showed, 2 and the tree of life: 6, 7 Then followeth the conclusion of this prophecy, 8 where John declareth, that the things herein contained are most true. 13 And now the third time repeateth these words, All things come from him, who is the beginning and the end.

And [b]he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb.

In the midst of the street of it, and of either side of the river was the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and gave fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree served to heal the nations with.

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him.

And they shall see his face, and his Name shall be in their foreheads.

(E)And there shall be no night there, and they need no candle, neither light of the Sun: for the Lord God giveth them light, and they shall reign for evermore.

Luke 1:39-48

39 [a]And Mary arose in those days, and went into the [b]hill country with haste to a [c]city of Judah,

40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elizabeth.

41 And it came to pass, as Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe [d]sprang in her belly, and Elizabeth was filled with the holy Ghost.

42 And she cried with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, because [e]the fruit of thy womb is blessed.

43 And whence cometh this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe sprang in my belly for joy.

45 And blessed is she that believed: for those things shall be performed, which were told her from the Lord.

46 [f]Then Mary said, My soul magnifieth the Lord,

47 And my spirit rejoiceth in God my Savior.

48 For he hath [g]looked on the [h]poor degree of his servant: for behold, from henceforth shall all ages call me blessed,

Luke 1:48-56

48 For he hath [a]looked on the [b]poor degree of his servant: for behold, from henceforth shall all ages call me blessed,

49 Because he that is mighty hath done for me great things, and holy is his Name.

50 And his mercy is from generation to generation on them [c]that fear him.

51 (A)He that showed strength with his [d]arm: (B)he hath [e]scattered the proud in the [f]imagination of their hearts.

52 (C)He hath [g]put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of [h]low degree.

53 (D)He hath filled the [i]hungry with good things, and sent away the rich empty.

54 [j](E)He hath upholden Israel his servant to be mindful of his mercy,

55 ((F)As he hath [k]spoken to our fathers, to wit, to Abraham and his seed) forever.

56 ¶ And Mary abode with her about three months: after, she returned to her own house.
