Your Throne, O God, Is Forever

45 My heart overflows with a pleasing theme;
I address my verses to the king;
my tongue is like the pen of (B)a ready scribe.
2 You are (C)the most handsome of the sons of men;
(D)grace is poured upon your lips;
therefore God has blessed you forever.
3 (E)Gird your (F)sword on your thigh, O (G)mighty one,
in (H)your splendor and majesty!
4 In your majesty (I)ride out victoriously
for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness;
let your right hand teach you (J)awesome deeds!
5 Your arrows are sharp
in the heart of the king's enemies;
the peoples fall under you.
6 (K)Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.
The (L)scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness;
7 (M)you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness.
Therefore (N)God, your God, has (O)anointed you
with the oil of (P)gladness (Q)beyond your companions;
8 your robes are all fragrant with (R)myrrh and aloes and cassia.
From ivory palaces (S)stringed instruments make you glad;
9 daughters of kings are among your ladies of honor;
(T)at your right hand stands the queen in (U)gold of Ophir.
10 Hear, O daughter, and consider, and incline your ear:
forget your people and your father's house,
11 and the king will desire your beauty.
Since he is your (V)lord, (W)bow to him.
12 The people[b] of Tyre will (X)seek your favor with (Y)gifts,
(Z)the richest of the people.[c]
God Is King over All the Earth

(C)Shout to God with loud songs of joy!
2 For the Lord, the Most High, (D)is to be feared,
(E)a great king over all the earth.
3 He (F)subdued peoples under us,
and nations under our feet.
4 He chose our (G)heritage for us,
(H)the pride of Jacob whom he loves. Selah
5 God (I)has gone up with a shout,
the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.
6 Sing praises to God, sing praises!
Sing praises to our King, sing praises!
7 For God is (J)the King of all the earth;
sing praises (K)with a psalm![a]
8 God (L)reigns over the nations;
God sits on his holy throne.
9 (M)The princes of the peoples gather
as the people of the God of Abraham.
For (N)the shields of the earth belong to God;

Zion, the City of Our God

48 (P)Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised
in (Q)the city of our God!
His (R)holy mountain, 2 (S)beautiful in elevation,
is (T)the joy of all the earth,
Mount Zion, in the far north,
(U)the city of the great King.
3 Within her citadels God
has made himself known as a fortress.
4 For behold, (V)the kings assembled;
they came on together.
5 As soon as they saw it, they were astounded;
they were in panic; they took to flight.
6 (W)Trembling took hold of them there,
anguish (X)as of a woman in labor.
7 By (Y)the east wind you (Z)shattered
the ships of (AA)Tarshish.
8 As we have heard, so have we seen
in the city of the Lord of hosts,
in (AB)the city of our God,
which God will (AC)establish forever. Selah
9 We have thought on your (AD)steadfast love, O God,
in the midst of your temple.
10 As your (AE)name, O God,
so your praise reaches to (AF)the ends of the earth.
Your right hand is filled with righteousness.

because of your judgments!
The Lord's Chosen Place of Worship
12 (A)“These are the statutes and rules that you shall be careful to do in the land that the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess, (B)all the days that you live on the earth. 2 (C)You shall surely destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess served their gods, (D)on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. 3 You shall tear down their altars and dash in pieces (E)their pillars and burn their (F)Asherim with fire. You shall chop down the carved images of their gods and (G)destroy their name out of that place. 4 (H)You shall not worship the Lord your God in that way. 5 But you shall seek (I)the place that the Lord your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation[a] there. There you shall go, 6 and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, (J)your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the (K)firstborn of your herd and of your flock. 7 And (L)there you shall eat before the Lord your God, and (M)you shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you undertake, in which the Lord your God has blessed you.
8 “You shall not do according to all that we are doing here today, (N)everyone doing whatever is right in his own eyes, 9 for you have not as yet come to (O)the rest and to the inheritance that the Lord your God is giving you. 10 But when (P)you go over the Jordan and live in the land that the Lord your God is giving you to inherit, (Q)and when he gives you rest from all your enemies around, so that you live in safety, 11 then to (R)the place that the Lord your God will choose, to make his name dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, (S)your tithes and the contribution that you present, and all your finest vow offerings that you vow to the Lord. 12 And (T)you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you and your sons and your daughters, your male servants and your female servants, and the Levite that is within your towns, since (U)he has no portion or inheritance with you.
3 We (A)put no obstacle in anyone's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, 4 but (B)as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: (C)by great endurance, (D)in afflictions, (E)hardships, calamities, 5 (F)beatings, imprisonments, (G)riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger; 6 (H)by purity, (I)knowledge, patience, kindness, (J)the Holy Spirit, (K)genuine love; 7 by (L)truthful speech, and (M)the power of God; with (N)the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; 8 through honor and dishonor, (O)through slander and praise. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; 9 as unknown, and (P)yet well known; (Q)as dying, and behold, we live; (R)as punished, and yet not killed; 10 (S)as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; (T)as poor, yet making many rich; (U)as having nothing, (V)yet possessing everything.
11 We have spoken freely to you,[a] Corinthians; (W)our heart is wide open. 12 You are not restricted by us, but (X)you are restricted in your own affections. 13 (Y)In return (I speak (Z)as to children) widen your hearts also.
The Temple of the Living God
14 (AA)Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For (AB)what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or (AC)what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 (AD)What accord has Christ with Belial?[b] Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For (AE)we are the temple of the living God; as God said,
(AF)“I will make my dwelling among them and (AG)walk among them,
and (AH)I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
17 Therefore (AI)go out from their midst,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch no unclean thing;
then I will welcome you,
18 (AJ)and I will be a father to you,
and you shall be sons and daughters to me,
says the Lord Almighty.”
7 Since we have these promises, beloved, (AK)let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body[c] and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.
Jesus Cleanses Ten Lepers
11 (A)On the way to Jerusalem (B)he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers,[a] (C)who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” 14 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and (D)show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, (E)praising God with a loud voice; 16 and (F)he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was (G)a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not (H)ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and (I)give praise to God except this (J)foreigner?” 19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; (K)your faith has (L)made you well.”[b]
