Psalm 103

Psalm 103

A Psalm of David.

Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and forget not all His benefits,
who forgives all your iniquities,
    who heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit,
    who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
who satisfies your mouth with good things,
    so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

The Lord does righteousness
    and justice for all who are oppressed.

He made known His ways to Moses,
    His acts to the people of Israel.
The Lord is merciful and gracious,
    slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always accuse,
    neither will He keep his anger forever.
10 He does not treat us according to our sins,
    nor repay us according to our iniquities.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
    so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 Like a father shows compassion to his children,
    so the Lord gives compassion to those who fear Him.
14 For He knows how we are formed;
    He remembers that we are dust.
15 As for man, his days are as grass;
    as a flower of the field he flourishes.
16 For the hot wind passes over it, and it is gone;
    the place where it was is not known.
17 But the mercy of the Lord
    is from everlasting to everlasting
upon those who fear Him,
    and His righteousness to children’s children,
18 to those who keep His covenant,
    and to those who remember to do His commandments.

19 The Lord has established His throne in the heavens,
    and His kingdom rules over all.

20 Bless the Lord, you His angels,
    who are mighty, and do His commands,
    and obey the voice of His word.
21 Bless the Lord, all you His hosts;
    you servants who do His pleasure.
22 Bless the Lord, all His works,
    in all places of His dominion.

Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Psalm 148

Psalm 148

Praise the Lord!

Praise the Lord from the heavens;
    praise Him in the heights.
Praise Him, all His angels;
    praise Him, all His heavenly hosts.
Praise Him, sun and moon;
    praise Him, all you stars of light.
Praise Him, you highest of heavens,
    and you waters that are above the skies.

Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for He commanded, and they were created.
He has also established them forever and ever;
    He has made a decree that shall not pass away.

Praise the Lord from the earth,
    you great sea creatures, and all you depths,
fire and hail, snow and mist,
    storming wind fulfilling His word,
mountains and all hills,
    fruitful trees and all cedars;
10 animals and all cattle,
    creeping things and flying birds;
11 kings of the earth and all peoples,
    princes and all rulers of the earth;
12 both young men and maidens,
    old men and children.

13 Let them praise the name of the Lord,
    for His name alone is excellent;
    His glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 He has raised up a victory horn for His people,
    praise for all His saints,
    even for the people of Israel near Him.

Praise the Lord!

Genesis 17:1-12

The Covenant of Circumcision

17 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am Almighty God. Walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between you and Me and will exceedingly multiply you.”

Abram fell on his face and God said to him, “As for Me, My covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations. No longer will your name be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations. I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you. I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. All the land of Canaan, where you now live as strangers, I will give to you and to your descendants for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.”

Then God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations. 10 This is My covenant, which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you; every male among you shall be circumcised. 11 You shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you. 12 Every male throughout every generation that is eight days old shall be circumcised, whether born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner who is not your descendant.

Genesis 17:15-16

15 Then God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you will not call her name Sarai, but her name will be Sarah. 16 I will bless her and also give you a son by her. I will bless her, and she will be the mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”

Colossians 2:6-12

Fullness of Life in Christ

As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, and abounding with thanksgiving.

Beware lest anyone captivate you through philosophy and vain deceit, in the tradition of men and the elementary principles of the world, and not after Christ.

For in Him lives all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all authority and power. 11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which also you were raised with Him through the faith of the power of God, who has raised Him from the dead.

John 16:23-30

23 On that day you will ask Me nothing. Truly, truly I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

I Have Overcome the World

25 “I have told you these things in proverbs. But the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in proverbs, for I will speak to you plainly about the Father. 26 On that day you will ask in My name. I am not saying to you that I shall ask the Father on your behalf. 27 For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world. As I said, I am leaving the world and am going to the Father.”

29 His disciples said to Him, “Yes! Now You are speaking plainly and with no figure of speech. 30 Now we know that You know everything and do not need anyone to question You. By this we believe that You came from God.”
