5 I called to the Lord in distress;(E)
the Lord answered me
and put me in a spacious place.[a](F)
6 The Lord is for me; I will not be afraid.
What can a mere mortal do to me?(G)
7 The Lord is my helper;
therefore, I will look in triumph on those who hate me.(H)
8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humanity.(I)
9 It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in nobles.(J)
10 All the nations surrounded me;
in the name of the Lord I destroyed them.(K)
11 They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me;
in the name of the Lord I destroyed them.(L)
12 They surrounded me like bees;(M)
they were extinguished like a fire among thorns;
in the name of the Lord I destroyed them.(N)
13 They[b] pushed me hard to make me fall,
but the Lord helped me.(O)
14 The Lord is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation.(P)
15 There are shouts of joy and victory
in the tents of the righteous:

28 You are my God, and I will give you thanks.

13 The Lord spoke to Moses: 2 “Consecrate every firstborn male(A) to me, the firstborn from every womb among the Israelites, both man and domestic animal; it is mine.”
11 “When the Lord brings you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and your ancestors, and gives it to you, 12 you are to present to the Lord every firstborn male of the womb. All firstborn offspring of the livestock you own that are males will be the Lord’s. 13 You must redeem every firstborn of a donkey with a flock animal, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. However, you must redeem every firstborn among your sons.(A)
14 “In the future, when your son(B) asks you, ‘What does this mean?’ say to him, ‘By the strength of his hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the place of slavery. 15 When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, the Lord killed every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of humans and the firstborn of livestock. That is why I sacrifice to the Lord all the firstborn of the womb that are males, but I redeem all the firstborn of my sons.’ 16 So let it be a sign on your hand and a symbol[a] on your forehead, for the Lord brought us out of Egypt by the strength of his hand.”(C)
51 Listen, I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.(A) For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. 53 For this corruptible body must be clothed(B) with incorruptibility,(C) and this mortal body must be clothed with immortality. 54 When this corruptible body is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place:
Death has been swallowed up(D) in victory.[a](E)
55 Where, death, is your victory?
Where, death, is your sting?[b](F)
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin(G) is the law.(H) 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory(I) through our Lord Jesus Christ!
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work,(J) because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
Resurrection Morning
24 On(A) the first day of the week,(B) very early in the morning, they[a] came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3 They went in but did not find the body(C) of the Lord Jesus.(D) 4 While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood by them in dazzling(E) clothes. 5 So the women were terrified and bowed down to the ground.
“Why are you looking for the living among the dead?” asked the men. 6 “He is not here, but he has risen!(F) Remember how he spoke to you when he was still in Galilee,(G) 7 saying, ‘It is necessary that the Son of Man be betrayed(H) into the hands of sinful men, be crucified, and rise(I) on the third day’?” 8 And they remembered his words.
9 Returning from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven(J) and to all the rest. 10 Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James,(K) and the other women with them were telling the apostles(L) these things. 11 But these words seemed like nonsense to them, and they did not believe(M) the women. 12 Peter,(N) however, got up and ran to the tomb. When he stooped to look in, he saw only the linen cloths.[b](O) So he went away, amazed(P) at what had happened.
