21st Century King James Version (KJ21)
Version
Psalm 33

33 Rejoice in the Lord, O ye righteous! For praise is comely for the upright.

Praise the Lord with the harp; sing unto Him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings.

Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.

For the word of the Lord is right, and all His works are done in truth.

He loveth righteousness and judgment; the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.

He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; He layeth up the deep in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

10 The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought; He maketh the devices of the people of no effect.

11 The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.

12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, and the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.

13 The Lord looketh down from heaven; He beholdeth all of the sons of men.

14 From the place of His habitation He looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth;

15 He fashioneth the hearts of all; He considereth all their works.

16 No king is saved by the multitude of an army; a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

17 A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

18 Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy,

19 to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 Our soul waiteth for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.

21 For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.

22 Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we hope in Thee.

Exodus 19:3-8

And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:

‘Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you unto Myself.

Now therefore, if ye will obey My voice indeed and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.

And ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.”

And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him.

And all the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord hath spoken we will do.” And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.

Exodus 19:16-20

16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.

17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

18 And Mount Sinai was altogether in smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire; and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long and waxed louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.

20 And the Lord came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mount; and the Lord called Moses up to the top of the mount, and Moses went up.

1 Peter 2:4-10

Coming to Him as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,

ye also as living stones are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture: “Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious; and he that believeth in Him shall not be confounded.”

Unto you therefore who believe, He is precious; but unto those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,”

and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense,” even to those who stumble at the Word, being disobedient, unto which also they were appointed.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

10 In times past ye were not a people, but are now the people of God; who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
