Psalm 29

Psalm 29

A Psalm of David.

Give to the Lord, you heavenly beings,
    give to the Lord glory and strength.
Give to the Lord the glory of His name;
    worship the Lord in holy splendor.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
    the God of glory thunders;
    the Lord is over many waters.
The voice of the Lord sounds with strength;
    the voice of the Lord—with majesty.
The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
    the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon.
He makes them skip like a calf,
    Lebanon and Sirion like a wild ox.
The voice of the Lord flashes
    like flames of fire.
The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
    the Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.
The voice of the Lord makes the deer to give birth,
    and strips the forests bare;
and in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

10 The Lord sits enthroned above the flood,
    the Lord sits as King forever.
11 The Lord will give strength to His people;
    the Lord will bless His people with peace.

Psalm 98

Psalm 98

A Psalm.

Oh, sing to the Lord a new song,
    for He has done marvelous deeds!
His right hand and His holy arm
    have accomplished deliverance.
The Lord has made known His salvation;
    His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
He has remembered His mercy
    and His faithfulness toward the house of Israel;
all the ends of the earth have seen
    the deliverance of our God.

Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth;
    break out in loud songs, and sing praises.
Sing unto the Lord with the harp,
    with the harp and the sound of melody,
with trumpets and sound of the horn;
    make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.

Let the sea roar, and all that fills it,
    the world and those who live in it;
let the rivers clap their hands;
    let the hills be joyful together
before the Lord,
    for He is coming to judge the earth.
With righteousness He will judge the world,
    and the peoples with justice.

Isaiah 66:18-23

18 For I know their works and their thoughts. The time shall come to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory.

19 I will set a sign among them, and send from them survivors to the nations: to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud—who draw the bow—to Tubal, and Javan, to the coastlands afar off who have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the nations. 20 They shall bring all your brothers out of all nations as an offering to the Lord on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on swift beasts to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, as the sons of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord. 21 I will also take some of them for priests and for Levites, says the Lord.

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me, says the Lord, so shall your descendants and your name remain. 23 From one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me, says the Lord.

Romans 15:7-13

The Gospel for Jews and Gentiles Alike

Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ also welcomed us, for the glory of God. Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcised on behalf of the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs, and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written:

“For this reason I will acknowledge You among the Gentiles,
    and I will sing praises to Your name.”[a]

10 He also says:

“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people!”[b]

11 And again:

“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles;
    let all the peoples praise Him.”[c]

12 And again Isaiah says:

“There shall be a root of Jesse;
    He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles,
in Him shall the Gentiles hope.”[d]

13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
