148 [a]Praise [b]the Lord!
Praise the Lord (A)from the heavens;
Praise Him (B)in the heights!
2 Praise Him, (C)all His angels;
Praise Him, (D)all His heavenly armies!
3 Praise Him, sun and moon;
Praise Him, all stars of light!
4 Praise Him, [c](E)highest heavens,
And the (F)waters that are above the heavens!
5 They are to praise the name of the Lord,
For (G)He commanded and they were created.
6 He has also (H)established them forever and ever;
He has made a (I)decree, and it will not pass away.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth,
(J)Sea monsters, and all the ocean (K)depths;
8 (L)Fire and hail, (M)snow and (N)clouds;
(O)Stormy wind, (P)fulfilling His word;
9 (Q)Mountains and all hills;
Fruit (R)trees and all cedars;
10 (S)Animals and all cattle;
(T)Crawling things and winged fowl;
11 (U)Kings of the earth and all peoples;
Rulers and all judges of the earth;
12 Both young men and virgins;
Old men and children.

Praise God in His (A)sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty [c](B)expanse.
2 Praise Him for His (C)mighty deeds;
Praise Him according to His excellent (D)greatness.
3 Praise Him with (E)trumpet sound;
Praise Him with (F)harp and lyre.
4 Praise Him with (G)tambourine and dancing;
Praise Him with (H)stringed instruments and (I)flute.
5 Praise Him with loud (J)cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
6 (K)Everything that has breath shall praise [d]the Lord.

Security of One Who Trusts in the Lord.
91 One who dwells in the (A)shelter of the Most High
Will lodge in the (B)shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My (C)refuge and my (D)fortress,
My God, in whom I (E)trust!”
3 For it is He who rescues you from the (F)net of the trapper
And from the deadly (G)plague.
4 He will (H)cover you with His pinions,
And (I)under His wings you may take refuge;
His (J)faithfulness is a (K)shield and wall.
5 You (L)will not be afraid of the (M)terror by night,
Or of the (N)arrow that flies by day;
6 Of the (O)plague that [a]stalks in darkness,
Or of the (P)destruction that devastates at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But (Q)it shall not approach you.
8 You will only look on with your eyes
And (R)see the retaliation against the wicked.
9 [b]For you have made the Lord, (S)my refuge,
The Most High, (T)your dwelling place.
10 (U)No evil will happen to you,
Nor will any plague come near your [c]tent.
11 For He will give (V)His angels orders concerning you,
To protect you in all your ways.
12 On their hands they will (W)lift you up,
So that you do not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will (X)walk upon the lion and cobra,
You will trample the young lion and the [d]serpent.
14 “(Y)Because he has loved Me, I will save him;
I will (Z)set him securely on high, because he has (AA)known My name.
15 He will (AB)call upon Me, and I will answer him;

92 It is (AF)good to give thanks to the Lord
And to (AG)sing praises to Your name, Most High;
2 To (AH)declare Your goodness in the morning
And Your (AI)faithfulness by [h]night,

My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.

They will flourish (BG)in the courtyards of our God.
14 They will still [p](BH)yield fruit in advanced age;

He is my (BJ)rock, and there is (BK)no malice in Him.
13 Therefore, this is what the Lord [a]God says:
“Behold, My servants will (A)eat, but you will be (B)hungry.
Behold, My servants will (C)drink, but you will be (D)thirsty.
Behold, My servants will (E)rejoice, but you will be (F)put to shame.
14 Behold, My servants will (G)shout joyfully with a glad heart,
But you will (H)cry out from a painful heart,
And you will wail from a broken spirit.
15 You will leave your name as a (I)curse to My chosen ones,
And the Lord [b]God will put you to death.
But [c]My servants will be called by (J)another name.
16 Because the one who [d]is blessed on the earth
Will [e]be blessed by the (K)God of truth;
And the one who swears an oath on the earth
Will (L)swear by the God of truth;
Because the former troubles are forgotten,
And because they are hidden from My sight!
Message to Philadelphia
7 “And to the angel of the church in (A)Philadelphia write:
(B)He who is holy, (C)who is true, who has (D)the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says this:
8 ‘(E)I know your [a]deeds. Behold, I have put before you (F)an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have followed My word, and (G)have not denied My name. 9 Behold, I [b]will make those of (H)the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—I will make them (I)come and bow down before your feet, and make them know that (J)I have loved you. 10 Because you have (K)kept (L)My [c]word of perseverance, (M)I also will keep you from the hour of the [d](N)testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole [e](O)world, to [f]test (P)those who live on the earth. 11 (Q)I am coming quickly; (R)hold firmly to what you have, so that no one will take your (S)crown. 12 (T)The one who overcomes, I will make him a (U)pillar in the temple of My God, and he will not go out from it anymore; and I will write on him the (V)name of My God, and (W)the name of the city of My God, (X)the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God, and My (Y)new name. 13 (Z)The one who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’
Jesus Walks on the Water
15 So Jesus, aware that they [a]intended to come and take Him by force (A)to make Him king, (B)withdrew again to (C)the mountain by Himself, alone.
16 Now when evening came, His (D)disciples went down to the sea, 17 and after getting into a boat, they started to cross the sea (E)to Capernaum. It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. 18 In addition, the sea began getting rough, because a strong wind was blowing. 19 Then, when they had rowed about [b]twenty-five or thirty stadia, they *saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat; and they were frightened. 20 But He *said to them, “It is I; [c](F)do not be afraid.” 21 So they were willing to take Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.
22 The next day (G)the crowd that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other small boat there except one, and that Jesus (H)had not gotten into the boat with His disciples, but that His disciples had departed alone. 23 Other small boats came from (I)Tiberias near to the place where they ate the bread after the (J)Lord (K)had given thanks. 24 So when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves got into the small boats and (L)came to Capernaum, looking for Jesus. 25 And when they found Him on the other side of the sea, they said to Him, “(M)Rabbi, when did You get here?”
Words to the People
26 Jesus answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you (N)seek Me, not because you saw [d](O)signs, but because you ate some of the loaves and were filled. 27 Do not (P)work for the food that perishes, but for the food that lasts for (Q)eternal life, which (R)the Son of Man will give you, for on Him the Father, God, (S)has set His [e]seal.”
