Then Jesus asked, “Who touched me?” When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the crowds are hemming you in and pressing against you.”
-
When he came to the house, he did not allow anyone to enter with him, except Peter, John, and James and the child’s father and mother.
-
Peter’s Declaration about Jesus
Once when Jesus was praying alone, with only the disciples near him, he asked them, “Who do the crowds say that I am?”
-
Then he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “The Messiah of God.”

The Transfiguration
Now about eight days after these sayings Jesus took with him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray.
-
Now Peter and his companions were weighed down with sleep, but as they awoke they saw his glory and the two men who stood with him.
-
Just as they were leaving him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good for us to be here; let us set up three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah,” not realizing what he was saying.

The Faithful or the Unfaithful Slave
Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for everyone?”

Then Peter said, “Look, we have left our homes and followed you.”
-
So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover meal for us that we may eat it.”

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
“Simon, Simon, listen! Satan has demanded to sift all of you like wheat,

Jesus said, “I tell you, Peter, the cock will not crow this day until you have denied three times that you know me.”

Peter Denies Jesus
Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest’s house. But Peter was following at a distance.
-
When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them.
-
A little later someone else, on seeing him, said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not!”
-
But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about!” At that moment, while he was still speaking, the cock crowed.
-
The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the cock crows today, you will deny me three times.”
-
But Peter got up and ran to the tomb; stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths by themselves; then he went home, amazed at what had happened.
-
One of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
-
He brought Simon to Jesus, who looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You are to be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).
-
Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
-
One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to him,
-
Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life.
-
He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?”
-
Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no share with me.”
