  14. You shall fear the Lord your God; him you shall serve; to him you shall hold fast; and by his name you shall swear.
  15. No one will be able to stand against you; the Lord your God will put the fear and dread of you on all the land on which you set foot, as he promised you.
  16. The Lord your God you shall follow, him alone you shall fear, his commandments you shall keep, his voice you shall obey, him you shall serve, and to him you shall hold fast.
  17. In the presence of the Lord your God, in the place that he will choose as a dwelling for his name, you shall eat the tithe of your grain, your wine, and your oil, as well as the firstlings of your herd and flock, so that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.
  18. It shall remain with him, and he shall read in it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear the Lord his God, diligently observing all the words of this law and these statutes,

    “When you go out to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots, an army larger than your own, do not fear them, for the Lord your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.
  20. how he attacked you on the way, when you were faint and weary, and struck down all who lagged behind you; he did not fear God.
  21. “If you do not diligently observe all the words of this law that are written in this book, fearing this glorious and awesome name, the Lord your God,
