The First Disciples of Jesus
The next day John again was standing with two of his disciples,
-
The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus.
-
Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding.
-
Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee and revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.
-
After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they remained there a few days.
-
His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will consume me.”
-
After he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus had spoken.

The Bread from Heaven
The next day the crowd that had stayed on the other side of the sea saw that there had been only one boat there. They also saw that Jesus had not gotten into the boat with his disciples but that his disciples had gone away alone.
-
So when the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they themselves got into the boats and went to Capernaum looking for Jesus.
-
The Words of Eternal Life
When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?”
-
But Jesus, being aware that his disciples were complaining about it, said to them, “Does this offend you?
-
Because of this many of his disciples turned back and no longer went about with him.
-
So his brothers said to him, “Leave here and go to Judea so that your disciples also may see the works you are doing,
