But he left Joseph, son of Zechariah, and Azariah, a leader of the people, with the rest of the forces in Judea to guard it,

Joseph son of Zechariah and Azariah, the commanders of the forces, heard of their brave deeds and of the heroic war they had fought.

The Battle at Beth-zechariah

Then Judas marched away from the citadel and encamped at Beth-zechariah, opposite the camp of the king.

Early in the morning the king set out and took his army by a forced march along the road to Beth-zechariah, and his troops made ready for battle and sounded their trumpets.

Work on the Temple Begins Again
