  1. ‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as uncircumcised. Three years it shall be as uncircumcised to you. It shall not be eaten.
  2. And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.
  3. then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
  4. And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.
  5. And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.
