  1. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
  2. If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay nothing.
  3. But if the servant plainly says, ‘I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free,’
  4. And if he does not do these three for her, then she shall go out free, without paying money.

  10. ‘And if you offer a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, you shall offer it of your own free will.
  11. ‘Whoever lies carnally with a woman who is betrothed to a man as a concubine, and who has not at all been redeemed nor given her freedom, for this there shall be scourging; but they shall not be put to death, because she was not free.
  12. “Speak to Aaron and his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, who offers his sacrifice for any of his vows or for any of his freewill offerings, which they offer to the Lord as a burnt offering—
  13. you shall offer of your own free will a male without blemish from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats.
  14. And whoever offers a sacrifice of a peace offering to the Lord, to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the cattle or the sheep, it must be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no defect in it.
  15. Either a bull or a lamb that has any limb too long or too short you may offer as a freewill offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
  16. And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, offer it of your own free will.
  17. besides the Sabbaths of the Lord, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the Lord.
  18. And the priest shall put her under oath, and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you have not gone astray to uncleanness while under your husband’s authority, be free from this bitter water that brings a curse.
  19. But if the woman has not defiled herself, and is clean, then she shall be free and may conceive children.
  20. Then the man shall be free from iniquity, but that woman shall bear her guilt.’ ”
  21. We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic;
  22. and you make an offering by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering or in your appointed feasts, to make a sweet aroma to the Lord, from the herd or the flock,
  23. ‘These you shall present to the Lord at your appointed feasts (besides your vowed offerings and your freewill offerings) as your burnt offerings and your grain offerings, as your drink offerings and your peace offerings.’ ”
  24. There you shall take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, your vowed offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
  25. You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain or your new wine or your oil, of the firstborn of your herd or your flock, of any of your offerings which you vow, of your freewill offerings, or of the heave offering of your hand.
