    They said to him, “John’s disciples often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours go on eating and drinking.”

    John’s disciples told him about all these things. Calling two of them,

  8. (All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right, because they had been baptized by John.
  9. But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.)
  10. For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’

  15. The Transfiguration

    About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.
