  1. The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

  24. The Death of Josiah

    After all this, when Josiah had set the temple in order, Necho king of Egypt went up to fight at Carchemish on the Euphrates, and Josiah marched out to meet him in battle.
  25. and the other people whom the great and honorable Ashurbanipal deported and settled in the city of Samaria and elsewhere in Trans-Euphrates.
