Now look, you are standing in your fathers’ place, a brood of sinners, to increase still further the fierce wrath of the Lord against the Israelites.

How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers.

Admonition to Avoid Easy but Unjust Riches

My child, if sinners try to entice you, do not consent!

Righteousness guards the one who lives with integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.

Calamity pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.

A good person leaves an inheritance for his grandchildren, but the wealth of a sinner is stored up for the righteous.

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but rather be zealous in fearing the Lord all the time.

For to the one who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy, but to the sinner, he gives the task of amassing wealth— only to give it to the one who pleases God. This task of the wicked is futile—like chasing the wind!

I discovered this: More bitter than death is the kind of woman who is like a hunter’s snare; her heart is like a hunter’s net and her hands are like prison chains. The man who pleases God escapes her, but the sinner is captured by her.

Even though a sinner might commit a hundred crimes and still live a long time, yet I know that it will go well with God-fearing people—for they stand in fear before him.

Everyone shares the same fate— the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the ceremonially clean and unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. What happens to the good person, also happens to the sinner; what happens to those who make vows, also happens to those who are afraid to make vows.

Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner can destroy much that is good.

All rebellious sinners will be shattered, those who abandon the Lord will perish.

Woe to the wicked sinners! For they will get exactly what they deserve.

Look, the Lord’s day of judgment is coming; it is a day of cruelty and savage, raging anger, destroying the earth and annihilating its sinners.

The Lord Will Distinguish Between Sinners and the Godly

The Shameful Sinners Will Be Brought to Shame

They consume their alcohol, then engage in cult prostitution; they dearly love their shameful behavior.

All the sinners among my people will die by the sword— the ones who say, ‘Disaster will not come near, it will not confront us.’
