  1. “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”
  2. Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their grandeur.

  11. Judgment of Pretenders

    “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven—only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.
  12. I tell you, many will come from the east and west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven,
  13. but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

    Then Jesus went throughout all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and sickness.
  15. As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near!’

    He gave them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.

    He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed with three measures of flour until all the dough had risen.”
  26. The field is the world and the good seed are the people of the kingdom. The poisonous weeds are the people of the evil one,
  27. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everything that causes sin as well as all lawbreakers.
  28. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. The one who has ears had better listen!
  29. Parables on the Kingdom of Heaven

    “The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, that a person found and hid. Then because of joy he went and sold all that he had and bought that field.
  30. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant searching for fine pearls.
  31. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was cast into the sea that caught all kinds of fish.
  32. Then he said to them, “Therefore every expert in the law who has been trained for the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his treasure what is new and old.”
  33. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”
  34. I tell you the truth, there are some standing here who will not experience death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.”
  35. Questions About the Greatest

    At that time the disciples came to Jesus saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
  36. and said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven!
  37. Whoever then humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
  38. The Parable of the Unforgiving Slave

    “For this reason, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his slaves.
  39. For there are some eunuchs who were that way from birth, and some who were made eunuchs by others, and some who became eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who is able to accept this should accept it.”

  49. For nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
  50. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.
  51. The Parable of the Ten Virgins

    “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
  52. Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
  53. I tell you, from now on I will not drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”
