  1. Zion Corrupted; Will Be Redeemed

    How the faithful city has become a prostitute, She who was full of justice! Righteousness once dwelt in her, But now murderers.
  2. Then I will restore your judges as at first, And your counselors as at the beginning; After that you will be called the city of righteousness, A faithful city.”
  3. Zion will be redeemed with justice And her repentant ones with righteousness.

  10. A throne will be established in faithfulness, And a judge will sit on it in trustworthiness in the tent of David; Moreover, he will seek justice, And be prompt in righteousness.
  11. At night my soul longs for You, Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
  12. Though the wicked person is shown compassion, He does not learn righteousness; He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness, And does not perceive the majesty of the Lord.
  13. I will make justice the measuring line And righteousness the level; Then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the secret place.
  14. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, And righteousness will remain in the fertile field.
  15. And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.
  16. The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
  17. Who has stirred one from the east Whom He calls in righteousness to His feet? He turns nations over to him And subdues kings. He makes them like dust with his sword, Like the wind-driven chaff with his bow.
  18. “I am the Lord, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the nations,
  19. The Lord was pleased for His righteousness’ sake To make the Law great and glorious.

    “Drip down, heavens, from above, And let the clouds pour down righteousness; Let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, And righteousness sprout with it. I, the Lord, have created it.
